Despite its cost-effective nature, this printer produces prints with sharp details and smooth finishes, rivaling more expensive counterparts. Whether crafting intricate prototypes or functional components, the results consistently meet high standards. One standout feature is its user-friendly interface. Setting up prints is a seamless process, thanks to intuitive software and straightforward controls. Even novices will find it easy to navigate, providing swift access to the world of 3D printing.Furthermore, this printer boasts impressive reliability. I’ve executed numerous prints without encountering significant issues or failures. Its robust build and consistent performance make it a dependable choice for hobbyists and professionals alike. What truly sets this printer apart is its affordability. Despite its impressive capabilities, it comes at a fraction of the cost compared to similar models. This makes it an excellent option for those on a tight budget or anyone curious about 3D printing without committing significant financial resources. In conclusion, this 3D printer is a standout performer that exceeds expectations without breaking the bank. It makes details come alive!
I almost exclusively design and print parts for 1/25th scale model cars and no other printer has consistently printed details as well as this model, even 2 years since its introduction. I’ve sampled printers from several different manufacturers and I also noticed the aqua 8k resin had the lowest fume levels (verified on an air quality meter) and the lightest scent from printing. There’s likely to be dethroned at some point, but for now it’s simply the best available for under $1500.

Will USUALLY arrive broken
I watched a lot of videos, and despite the "there's kind of a 50/50 chance something will arrive broken" advisory that seemed to be prevalent among top YouTube reviewers I found on a search, I decided to take my chances. Chances are, I'm not going to get a lemon.HA! This is my first review for a legitimate product, and only because I feel like I was made a fool! Not only was the z-axis step motor damaged (would sometimes work and sometimes not working and make grinding sounds), but either the UV lamp or the LCD died after FIVE PRINTS. Small prints. Nothing significant. I was really disappointed in the product. I then go and see on their website that resin and 8K UV LCDs are both considered "consumables" that are not covered under warranty. Are you kidding me?This is thievery, given the quality control standards that have clearly been very poor from Phrozen. My disappointment is astronomical. I REALLY needed to print some stuff with my work timeline, and now I'm screwed. In summary, you have at least a 50% chance of it arriving broken, but even if it doesn't, it will probably break in a few months, tops. This isn't a product, this is a prototype that hardly functions. Which is unfortunate, because the five prints I did manage to get out of it before it shat the bed were BEAUTIFUL. What a shame. Will modify/update review upon progress with my warranty inquiry which I've made to Phrozen.

Worth the money, Be sure to educate yourself on operation before ownership.
Worth Every cent.If your new to printing, be sure to educate yourself on operation before ownership. There are other tools you will need in addition to the printer alone, which works phenomenally. In addition to any printer you're going to need a few things: A fan (resin smells, Phrozen resin not so much), as well as a low light work space to modify post print / pre-cure projects that need working over. Cutting tools (for supports), Alcohol ISO 70%+ but 91% is best ( to remove excess resin pre-cure), An U.V. light around 405-420 nanometers wave length aka black light (to cure), Gloves (resin is NOT skin friendly), Paper Towels (for resin & ISO & messes). Slicer Software to make .ctb files (lychee slicer or others)All that being said the Phrozen Sonic Mini 8k is a WORK HORSE! It has Very large print bed for a "Small printer" and all the parts are made of high quality plastics and metals. The motors are very quite, it's well ventilated, Fast, Super adjustable, and Most Importantly. It's unbelievably accurate, this 8k printer is MAGIC!On the down side, as a North American Consumer, the manufacturer is over seas (England / Taiwan HQ ) which leads to longer delivery / Lead times. Also due to the young age of this Model Sonic Mini 8K there are not a lot of accessories available yet. While Older 4k models have flex plates and drip plates, ect, ect.Would still recommend 100% as Phrozen has nowhere to go but up from here! Get yourself Printing and join the Fun!
