Inflated it up and just wrapped it around the dog's neck. He only had to wear it for one occasion before his scab healed up. Fast forward to last week, he fell down the carpeted stairs chasing his ball and got a nasty rugburn on his back leg. He licked it to the point where it formed a scab and it was gross. The scab fell off but the wound was still raw because he was licking it. I decide to bring out the collar and use it on him. Alas, he was able to wriggle out of it twice and even punctured a hole in the inflatable portion. I was livid. However, I improvised since I did not have time to go out and get a traditional collar. I took his t-shirts, his little winter sweater, and his little crate dog blanket and stuffed the collar shell full and zipped it up. Then, I took one of his spare flat collars and strung it through the slots and buckled it up around the dog's neck before securing the whole collar with the velcro strap. I just sent him to his crate a second ago, we'll see if he was able to a) keep the collar on and b) not lick his sore spot. All in all this is a great product, they just need to make the inflatable part puncture/leakproof! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty good just sizing could be better *by T***T on Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2014* I had to give it 4 stars because of the sizing. I wish there was a size between medium and small. I have a Miniature Poodle who likes to get into trouble in the yard by running under and into the bushes. The M size will prevent him from getting into the bushes and the woven material is sturdy enough to take some scraping and snaging of the branches. For his ear problem he wears the smaller S that is enough to prevent him from sticking his hind paws in his ears. However when he has an allergy attack and his ears itch him bad the small is to short for his clever maneuver between the sofa pillows (he will get his paws in his ears once he wedges the collar into the right position) and the M is to big for him to rest comfortably.This collar also holds the air quite long I had other models in the past that needed frequent inflation. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Maybe, maybe not *by E***C on Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2012* My dog had a leg amputation and is wearing a lamp shade to prevent self damage to the stitches. She basically has tunnel vision because of the lampshade and can't eat or drink without help. So, the ProCollar is probably an awesome product but didn't work for her. The first one had a leak in the bag and the second couldn't prevent her from reaching the stitches. She is part rat terrier and part dachshund making her a little longer than average in the body with a pretty long nose.
