A bit more expensive than some but worth it. It is well made, fully adjustable and comfortable to wear. It is also effective in doing its job and holding in my recently diagnosed hernia. The pad is quite big but not noticeable under a loose tee shirt and you don't have to use it.A good buy. I would recommend it if you have a hernia problem.

Needing a support that I can use for some time as I can't have an op yet for other medical reasons I tried another brand that didn't provide adequate support or stay in place due to low-quality Velcro, I ordered an ORTONYX hernia belt and have to say it is excellent quality and stays securely in place all day long. The only slight criticism I have is that the removable compression pad is a bit thicker than necessary and creates a significant bulge and can make it difficult to fasten a belt on your trousers. I certainly would highly recommend it for quality and value for money.

Well constructed, comfortable and easy to put on and wear. Gives definite support and pain rejoef from hernia issues.Maybe one drawback is that it can mask the hernia pain and encourages more activity than usual in such a condition. However, it definitely does give relief till medical intervention can be given. Hoping it helps post op too.

I found the belt uncomfortable to wear. They pad supplied is awkward to place in the correct position. The belt around the waist is fine but the part that loops under the groin to hold the pad in a lower position is to thin and unless your are wearing jockey briefs with a longish leg the under belt chaffs the inside of your leg causing soreness.Upon reflection I think that this belt is not designed to be used on lower hernia's but if it was meant for this then it is poorly designed. Having bought a number of different supports over the last couple of years, I always found them to be either uncomfortable, or not enough support etc.I bought this one because it has a much wider belt which I thought would give greater support - I was right, it’s both more comfortable and doesn’t ‘dig in’ due to the wider belt, and holds the hernia in place comfortably. The strap which goes from the back of the belt and under your groin passes through a buckle on the pad at the front which also makes for a firmer and more secure fastening, which also adds to the comfort and firm support this appliance supplies.I have worn this all day and I have to say it is the best one yet, and allows me to get on with things that I would otherwise be unable to do without the support it provides.Highly recommended!

I bought my first hernia belt and was very pleased with the fit, comfort and effectiveness. Based on this I decided to purchase a second as a 'spare' whilst cleaning the first item. Unfortunately the stitching on second belt has started to tear after only a couple of uses. I did not notice this until after the return window had closed.

Provided excellent support and considerably reduced the discomfort/pain whilst waiting for corrective surgery. Easy to adapt to correctly fit size and Good value for money.

This is definitely a great thing to have if you need it. It certainly relieves the aching & discomfort when standing, isn’t too bulky, but obviously with anything that’s applying pressure, you’re going to know you’re wearing it - but it’s far from uncomfortable, and the relief is far greater! However, the first thing you’ll want to do is put the supplied cricket ball-sized pad to one side and replace with a simple rolled-up sock! I guess depending on the extent of your hernia, you might need larger or smaller pads, but the one supplied is pretty severe!!The same level of comfort doesn’t extend however to sitting down, when it presses into my lower abdomen. So maybe best used for long periods standing rather than constantly up & down.Also, the Velcro is VERY strong - peeling it apart feels like they’re glued! These straps are NOT going to come apart on their own 😁A definite recommendation 👍
