Simple and effective. Guard stays in place while in use and comes off to be cleaned of lint and goes back on without anything cracking or breaking so far. So seems like decent plastic, not the brittle stuff. No signs of mouse, squirrel, or bird infiltration. Decent price when I bought it. In service doing the job it was meant to do for a few months now with no complaints. Might flap a tiny bit in extremely heavy winds but not regularly or anything I would call unusual or obnoxious. I'm happy with it.

Would rate this 5 stars, but I ordered two of these and both arrived without the bird guards (that are clearly in the description and pictures). Called Deflecto and they were kind enough to get the bird guards to me the next day which was very much appreciated.

Good product as described.

Moved to a new house that didn’t have any type of guard over the dryer vent and after experience with our old place (birds set up a nest and laid eggs inside of the dryer vent) I knew that this was the type of one that I wanted. Fit perfectly, was easy to install, came with everything it was supposed to, and keeps birds and field mice out (we live next to a field) so that a huge bonus in my book. We’ve had this for a few months and haven’t had to clean it yet but from how easy it was to install, it shouldn’t be too hard to do so.

Product is great and installed easily. This isn’t a flush mount. It has roughly an inch of material that goes into the wall so that was relatively interesting but easy enough.Love the ability to remove the grill to clean it. I was able to paint it to blend in to the brick.

I wanted a dryer vent cover that had both a flap to keep the weather out and a cage to keep birds out. This did both. The cage snaps off for easy cleaning. It fit my existing dryer vent that was only a cage and not a flap to keep the weather out. It took my handy man 5 minutes to install. He said sometimes you have to be careful not to push the existing vent into the house. No problems for our install.

Great sturdiness, but didn't fit my dryer hole. Also, it doesn't come with screws so that sucks. Looks like it might work well for someone else though.

We started having a problem with chipmunks climbing through the dryer vent and getting into the dryer, what a mess. This little vent cover has solved the problem

Would have liked to buy replacement rodent cover only but was able to take that off and replace my missing cover.

Had to cut away a pice of plastic to get the flapper to open and close freely. Otherwise seems reasonably well made. I like the ability to clean out the trap.

Cheap make, the plastic grate that goes up inside does not stay attached ( continues to fall out)
