The dish had a very nice smooth, high gloss ceramic coating. Unfortunately my dish arrived very late and very broken (seller not to blame for this) I will definitely use this seller again in the future but I needed something rapidly and had to choose another option.

Tried to slowly heat the basin up and it shattered. Also has glazed over, bumpy surface in the basin bottom.

up to what temperature does it support?

This porcelain evaporating dish is well made and easy to use and clean. It is great for evaporating solutions, and the shape of the bowl helps speed up the process. I like how easy to clean the glazing is because it makes cleanup fast and simple. The flat form bottom is easy to scrape clean. A good value for the cost.

I tend to use evaporating basins that are wider than necessary since it gives more surface area for evaporation. I like the pouring spout since it lets me add the full solution, let it sit for a bit to settle, and then slowly pour out the water at the top. Then after it's dried out, it's easier to pour into a vial or test tube with a thin neck. This is porcelain, so it can take quite a bit of heat. I would caution though against going from cool/cold temperature directly to a hot plate. I've broken other ceramic basins before doing that. Nowadays, I always try to ease up the temperature slowly if possible.
