TSA Approved Luggage Locks with Keys for Travel – Flexible Ultra Secure Mini Key Padlock & Metal Zinc Alloy Material – Orange

I bought this specifically because I was looking for a lock that doesn't look like a lock. I was planning to travel in an area with crowds and pickpockets. For convenience I wanted to carry a backpack, but due to risk, I chose to use my Pacsafe camera backpack (which has steel mesh in the fabric and steel cables in the straps, for security). I wanted a little extra security (with my wallet, passport, computer, etc. behind me, surrounded by crowds), so I wanted to lock the zippers shut, but I didn't want the locks to look like locks (because some who is carrying a backpack with locks on the zippers is someone who is carrying something very valuable). These locks fit the bill perfectly! They're inconspicuous, they'll fit in small lock holes, and they can be used to lock zippers that weren't designed to be locked. They're TSA compliant, which is good and bad (apparently anyone can get the keys to TSA compliant locks). I think they're sturdy enough - I used one yesterday when I unexpectedly had to check my carry on. I will have to wait and see how they stand up over time. At the end of the day, any determined thief will get past this and every other luggage lock in a heart beat. One thing that surprised me is that these are heavy: each lock weighs 42.9 g. So far, I have found these to be the perfect backpack lock, and they have worked fine for me as luggage locks, too.

These things are dead simple to use and they look great too.

The price was perfect. The color didn’t matter as long as it was TSA approved.

It's very difficult to unlock and more so to lock again as it doesn't want you to just press the parts together and turn the key. It requires that I press the two parts together and hold them in place and turn the key to lock it closed which is difficult to do with such a small and unusually shaped lock. But when locked there was no amount of yanking on it that I could do to pull it open unless I had the key. I'd buy it again if I lost the key or lock and needed another backpack or luggage lock.

These are well built and solid locks. They are not high security, but they are well constructed for what they are. The outer lock body will take the standard punishment of being attached to an outside zipper. I have several locks with the same TSA keyway and these locks accept the TSA key better than any others that I have. The cable can be easily cut, but then again so can my luggage. Besides anyone with a TSA key can get it open. My only concern is cable completely separates from the lock, and I fear I may lose the cable at some point. The key cannot be removed from the unlocked position so that will help me remember to keep the cable with the lock body. In any case at this price point I won’t be upset if I lose one.

Pretty sturdy for everyday use. I use this to lock a locker. Easy to unlock and lock. Would be nice if They made one with an alarm for thieves with wire cutters.

I haven’t tried these through TSA so can’t comment on that but this little lock is great for locking certain things. I’ve been using it to fit through some zippers so they can’t easily be opened but I’m sure there are several other uses. It’s simple to use by just sliding the cable piece inside and it goes in smoothly. It’s nice and sturdy and not easy to break and a great general deterrent.

These worked great for my trip to Italy! Checked a very large, multiple pocket/storage wheelie duffle bag at 4 airports, transported it to 3 different hotels and sometimes stored it in our van as we hiked thru Tuscany for 8 days. I wanted my bag to have some type of theft deterrent at minimum, as opposed to just letting a potential thief easily unzip my bag and help themselves. No challenge there. I felt much better that my luggage was a bit more secure with these locks throughout the entire trip. These little guys are TSA approved; were very easy to use; perfect size to secure 2 zippers back-to-back, as my bag has; only one key needed for all 4 locks, so no need to carry multiple keys, nor have to worry about which key goes with what lock.

Nice, heavy little locks. Cable is thin enough to fit holes for trailer linchpins, securely locks. All 4 locks are opened by the same key. Good purchase

Bel article de qualité et très bien pensé pour son usage. Évidemment il n'empêchera pas quelqu'un déterminé et équipé d'une pince coupante de sectionner le cable mais ce n'est pas sa fonction première. A mes yeux ce produit empêche les vols opportunistes et c'est ce qu'on lui demande.
