AW1400B Bandsaw - 230V

Very well made and easy to set up,, nice size for work bench cut's accurately and great value for money as you would expect from Axminster.

Cuts very easily and accurately - I could easily follow the line within 1mm. Following the instructions to set up the machine took about 2 hours, but that's a one-off.The machine weighs 23kg - enough to make it very stable, not too much to lift off the ground.I took the advice from others and bought a separate fence, so I can't comment on the one that came with it.

Took a while to calibrate the blade accurately but the relatively minor effort proved to be well worth it. I would recommend buying the optional guide as it feels more stable in use. Overall, a hefty investment but it does what it’s meant to do really well - even for relative newbies like me.

Very good for the price. Its not the most expensive but is the same quality as something 2 or 3 times the price from other makes. Ideal for a small workshop without much floor space.

The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is the fence that comes with it. It’s not very accurate at the far end to the locking handle and needs to me measured to ensure it’s parallel to the blade.I actually bought the better version and that works well. They really should get rid of the original and replace it with the additional cost one even if it adds a few quid to the whole machine. Otherwise a great addition to my workshop. Great quality and solid build.Would recommend
