I haven’t used this section of pipe yet. It will be used for a straight section of exhaust pipe between the catalytic converter and muffler on my 1997 5.2L Dodge Ram 1500. (I will update in about a year or if something major happens before then.) I wanted to post images of the measurements on the section of pipe I received. These will be outside diameter, inside diameter and wall thickness measured down to .001 accuracy using a Starrett 290K4 dial caliper, this information is usually lacking from sellers on Amazon so I will post mine so others interested in this product can have a base line for what they might receive. Edit: I said I’d return to update my review, it seems to be doing well. I will say I don’t live on either coast and I don’t live in the rust belt, I live in the north western corner of the US so the climates fairly dry year round even winter tends to be somewhat dry. I’ve added a picture of it after a year, most will know this but the browning isn’t caused by rust it’s called “heat tint” stainless steels contain higher levels of chromium which will react with oxygen when heated. It’s actually a good thing since it thickens the oxidized layer on the stainless further protecting the steel from rusting. Anyway it doesn’t compromise the metals durability or harm it’s performance.
