Good product reasonable price but seems to only last couple years have already been through two of them!

Great exhaust fan - love it. Can definitely see the difference with this unit sensing humidity and turning on at the right time. Easy to install, works well, easy to adjust sensitivity. Worth the investment.

First of all let me start by saying I am an end user and hired a contractor to install this so I can't speak to ease of installation. I am selling my house and during my home inspection it came up that my master bath didn't have a vent fan in it and it was causing some mold issues in the attic over the vaulted master bath ceiling. I do have a fan in the small room that houses the toilet but I agree that isn't very useful for venting the bathroom when the shower is steaming up the bathroom so I agreed to remediate the vent issue in the master bath for my buyer. Having to install this fan post construction wiring was a consideration. I didn't want to add additional time/expense in snaking a wire through the wall and adding in an additional switch to operate this new fan so what I did was wire this fan into the same switch that triggers the overhead light so when the light was on the fan is on. Jumping the power from he light that was up in the ceiling when up in the attic is much easier than snaking wire in a wall. The key is that this fan has a humidity sensor that works very well so went the light is on which also powers the fan, the fan will not spin up unless it detect humidity in the air. Switching from 'dumb mode' (fan runs anytime it has power) and 'sensor mode' is as simple as turning on the power to the fan, then quickly switching the power off then back on again. This toggles between fan modes. The fan has a dim blue light to indicate it is in sensor mode and an amber light that shows through the ceiling grate when in 'dumb mode'. In sensor mode that fan has multiple speeds too so as the bathroom becomes less humid the RPMs of the fan reduce and thus make it operate quieter. It seems here are 3 speeds that it steps down to before shutting off automatically (again in sensor mode). Another nice feature my contractor commented on is how the 4 inch vent hose adapter slide on and off the unit as opposed to needing to be clipped or screwed in which makes for easier installation. This fan is pretty quiet but I'm used to the cheapo fans that contractors put in original in my home. At high speeds the fan can be heard but it is not annoying (no buzz or vibrations) and you won't hear it over the sound of running water. As the fan reduces speeds it gets quieter and can't be heard on the lowest speed. the fan pushes 130 CFM so about doubled the low budget fans that were built into my home. Its about the most that 4" vent pipes can flow and clears the bathroom fairly quickly. A tip on install - use insulated vent pipes in your attic to help prevent condensation in the winter and always vent outside of your home an not anywhere in the attic or you will get mold problems. This is a great fan at a fair price with good features and I would recommend it. The only negative is that my contractor stated that the fan was missing a bracket to hold it in the ceiling. Due to the beam placements in the attic it was not necessary in my installation so not an issue for me but I took off a star for that missing bracket part.

Bought this fan at more than double the price if a standard bath exhaust fan. Installed it in a new basement bathroom and now it makes the most obnoxious grinding/humming noise. It’s probably been turned on/off a total of 30 times at this point. It was left on overnight by a guest on accident. Now the fan seems to be broken. After turning it on now , once is been on for 15s it starts rattling and squeaking. Seems like the bearing went out somehow. The fan was covered during construction with plastic to keep dust out. Pretty disappointed such a high end fan failed before we even really used it.

This is easy to install. You performed better than the previous two‘s office fans that we had. Simply use and I feel like my bathroom is more protected from moisture

I installed this fan as a replacement for the noisy one that came with the house. Was able to do the entire job from below. The toughest part was getting the old one out. Here's how I did it: First I shut the power off at the breaker, got inside the fan unit and removed the fan and motor from the housing. Then accessed the fans power box, took the nut off of the romex connector and pushed the cable out of the unit. Then I took a pair of snips and cut the housing loose from the sliding clamps, moved it aside and took the exhaust hose off. I Then lowered the old unit down and tossed it. Next, I removed the old slide clamps from the close joist and bent the the other ones out of the way. The existing duct was already 4" flex, no change was needed. The old unit was right next to a ceiling joist on mine, so I had good support on one side. I cut the sheet rock about 3/8" larger than the new unit. On the opposite side I laid a 1x6x24"on the flat inside the ceiling and screwed up thru the sheetrock to fasten it. Next I connected the flex duct to the removable plastic fan outlet, fastened it with aluminum tape and screwed the outlet to the ceiling. I tightened it just enough so that it can move a little You need to measure for this to get it in the right location. Next the power cable was connected using the same romex connector. The new unit has a mounting flange with holes for screws. I did not use the slide clamps that were provided. I positioned the fan to slide up onto the fan outlet. Push up gently and the plastic outlet locks onto the unit. Then I put 2 screws thru the flange and into the ceiling joist on one side and 2 screws thru the flange and into the 1x6 nailer on the other, put on the plastic grill and turned the power back on. Took about 3 hours with coffee breaks. The unit is very quiet and can only be heard when you are in the bath. The blue humidity LED makes a great nite light too. Just enough for a guide to the toydee!

The fan really isn’t as quiet as the advertisement makes out. I’ve installed several new quiet bathroom fans and this one is the same noise level as the others.I did initially install the fan with a 4” to 3” reducer to match my existing ducting. Afterwards, I noticed a comment in the instructions that if the fan was too loud it may because of the reducer. So back into the attic I went and installed a 4” duct. It actually made the fan louder, but at the same time, it now completely clears the bathroom condensation unlike with the 3” duct.The only other complaint besides the false advertising of how quiet the unit is, is the vent flapper rattles slightly.The humidity sensing does work nice, but it will turn on if it’s raining outside.Overall, this is a nice unit that works as advertised. I do wish it really was so quiet that you had to have a light to tell it’s on, but alas, that’s not quite true.

Ok, why in the world would you put a Bluetooth speaker that, EVERYTIME you turn the fan on, it goes through an audio “I’m on” chime!! and it’s not a quiet one either....sure, the fan is quiet, but if someone turns the fan on in the middle of the night, the whole house hears the chime. I’ve had the disconnect the power port to the speaker to stop the chime, know I don’t have the BT feature.....don’t waste your money on this one. Delta, go back to the drawing board.

I do not know why they programmed to it to "ding" when it turns on and then another "ding" kind of noise when it starts up. This is very annoying. Then last week the motor started making a vibrating/grinding noise and then stopped and started working again. I don't think it is going to last much longer.

Replaced a 50cfm fan with this 130cfm.With 50cfm bathroom mirror would fog up after shower, with this fan there was nothing.The humidtiy sensor is set at 40%, in winter its fine, it'll turn off, but in summer it'll almost never get that low.Really quiet, sound is similar to refrigerator noise, if you would something whisper quiet, you need 5-6" duct fan and 0.3-0.5 sone level.

Nothings a five starFan is extremely quiet, pushes air nicely through the vent, speaker is perfect for a bathroom setting.Worth the money if you are interested in thus option.I bought the fan and speaker option, used with one switch.
