Works
Needed this for our aerobic septic system. The septic guy put it in because the previous one broke. That’s all I know about this product

Worked well
Tight fit at first but the filter came free after initial break apart. No issues since install

Updated 25 year old septic tank.
Added PL-68 filter-housing, with 2 polylok risers. I would recommend checking filter often until septic tank settles back into normal operating conditions, I had to clean filter once after 3 weeks. Checked filter yesterday, was very clean, after 3 months of use. Also added speed levelers to distribution box, which adjust effluent equally to drain lines. 15 months later, clean filter every 3 months, 15-30 minute job!! 25 year old, 1000 gallon septic tank has no baffles, requiring maintenance more often! Great news no backups!! Update February 2024; clean filter every 2-3 months!! Very expensive to replace leach field, mature yard-landscaping! Maintenance cheaper than costly replacement!

Super easy install
Haven't had to clean them yet so that may change my review but the install and ease to remove the filter have me sold. I have two tanks so input one in each. I did buy the couplers that are recommended for these, made the install a breeze.

so now it's easy to pull out
Does fit as direct replacement for those long nylon mesh filters. I tied rope to the handle and fed it out of the tank lid, so now it's easy to pull out. Just replaced two of them at my home and rental. This filter is highly recommended by my septic company and they know what they are doing. Hopefully, as promised, don't need to clean it every 3 months like I had to with the nylong mesh one.

Can't seem to remove the filter from the Baffle.
Just received the PL-68 and have not yet installed in tank. I can't seem to pull out the filter from the baffle. Do I need the part, A1801-HEK? Or, is there some trick to pulling out the filter such as twisting etc?

Cheap quality
Made out of cheap plastic. First time I attempted to pull the filter out the handle broke.
