Great slide latch. Very heavy duty. Perfect for our basement double doors, which has a cross-board, but the doors seemed to easily open just about 1/4". This pin latch keeps the doors tightly closed and serves as additional security. You'll want to pre-drill holes for the screws, especially if you have very hard wood like my old doors. Will help avoid screw breakage or wood splitting. If I have one comment (not really a compliant), but the padlock does not live up to the beefiness of the latch, but it should have the intended effect of slowing down any intruder trying to come through the doors.

Well built. Comes with a lock and keys which is nice. Only thing to keep in mind is if you are screwing it into wooden pickets these screws are too long and you will need to buy more; however, that is not a seller issue. Love the product !

Very sturdy

I like this style latch for indoors. The paint chips easily. Hopefully it won’t rust since it is in my shed. Outside, with on a wood door or gate that swells and shrinks with the weather, it will tend to be hard to use over time.

For $20 it’s very cheaply made,would have brought something else,would not recommend this one
