The Best of Frank O'Connor: Introduction by Julian Barnes

I haven't started reading this one yet. But if you can get your hands on an everyman's library edition for 20AED then you should get it already!

Nice collectible edition

frank o'connor is my favorite short story writer, so this is a pure delight. he hits human nature and its foibles right on the head. his take on the pretensions of youth are just wonderful; his understanding of the oftimes-unmet wishes and dreams of the elderly are poignant. the quintessential irish writer: he keeps you laughing till he breaks your heart.

A few good stories and a lot of blather. You know Frank, everything you jotted down was not literature, just ramblings.
