My needs: Daily emptying and cleaning. Hidden placement while maintaining ease of adding food waste. No damage to kitchen cabinets. Odorless. This is PERFECT! The Large size hangs inside sink cabinet door. I did not want anything on countertop. I easily move this bin with handle to garage in evenings for a morning walk to compost. Cleaning is fast and easy. There is a removable rim surround piece that can be lifted off to allow rinsing of tiny coffee grounds etc. This simple design for composting makes the cleanup no problem at all..! I replaced my stainless steel bin with lid that I had to use two hands when popping lid off. This unit takes one hand on the lid that actually hangs on the side while in use. So nice for keeping hands clean during food prep! To Summarize: Simple design that purely functions as it promises.

This bucket is easy to use and IS SURE TO BE USED (the most important factor!!) due to its ability to be hung just about anywhere that's convenient, thanks to its dual hanging system. I have mine hanging on a drawer adjacent to the most used section of the kitchen counter, so it doesn't take up any counter space (a guarded commodity in my home, due to lack of it). It's a perfect size (will hold all scraps and peelings from a large vegetable soup), has a good size handle that keeps your hands clean when emptying it, it cleans up exceptionally well (no odors absorbed or left behind), it's light weight, the lid controls odor very well (even from onions!), and, something the description doesn't mention, there is a handy removable insert that easily fits on the rim to hold a plastic bag liner in place, if you want to use one. I find this bin cleans up easily and doesn't absorb odors, so I don't use one (wasteful, anyway). I also love the color- a gorgeous green. I am very happy with this recycling bucket!!

I love this little bin. I need something to put food debris in, and this sturdy little bin fits on the door right next to the cabinet, and the lid seals well enough that you have no odors coming from it. It works really well.

Everything about this is good, but I think I would prefer one with a hinged lid so you don’t have to use two hands one to open it and want to put the scraps in. Generally, when you are putting kitchen scraps in there, you have your hands full. But that’s also probably personal preference.

This all began because I wanted a compost container that I could also bang my espresso basket on without breaking the whole thing to pieces. And it had to fit in my tiny kitchen. Ceramic? Too fragile. Stainless? Not actually stainless and rusts like crazy. Filter-top lids? The filters aren't replaceable. Step-to-open lid? Huge waste of space. Plain bowl on the counter? Compost only goes out once a week and I don't have room in the freezer. Enter: This plain-as-mud but perfect-in-every-way sturdy plastic bin. It's just a plastic bin with a lid. But it's the perfect size. And the lid hooks onto the side so you don't have to find a spot for it during meal prep. There are no little handle crevices on the lid so there are no nooks and crannies to worry about when washing it. The bin itself has a little removable plastic rim that would effectively hold a compostable bag in place if I needed one. (PSA: Not all compost facilities will take compost bags—please check before bagging your scraps!) The carry handle rotates easily and folds down nice and low so it doesn't stick out. There's a really easy attachment system if you want to move it off the floor. Haven't tried the wall adhesive mount, but the hanging mount is SUPER easy to get the bin on and off of. I store the hanging mount inside my kitchen drawer, and then hang it off the front of the drawer and then slide the bucket onto it when I'm prepping. Makes it really easy to just toss scraps into. Lid has a nice snug fit into the bin, too. I usually leave the lid slightly ajar to let a little circulation through, but when I have to leave it on tight to keep a smell out for a day or two until the compost pickup comes, the lid works like a charm. I never thought I'd write a review about a plastic bucket, but this little bin ticks every single box I needed it to. And I can bang out my espresso basket on it!

Really happy with this purchase. The quality is good; all the pieces fit together perfectly and it feels sturdy. I love that the lid just sits on top, so you only need one hand to lift it off (not like a tupperware where you need both hands to pry it off); and because everything is well-made (all the surfaces are straight), the lid sits perfectly and basically seals the bucket closed, so no smells or flies are getting in/out. The little hook on the lid is also super handy: you just lift the lid off and then hook it on the side of the bucket while you put scraps in. It's a great size; easy to dishwash; no complaints, would totally recommend.

Perfect container to "hide" food scraps in freezeruntil trash day so they don't stink up the trash. I lined the bin with a plastic grocery bag. Fits perfectly and the bag is now used for another purpose.

I’ve been using this just over a month for food waste collection and it works great. We have limited counter space, so I hook it onto the side of my regular trash can. I also like the frame for the top of the can that holds the bag in place.

We hooked it over our draw in the caravan- it’s perfect!
