Oily
I don’t like the oil finish that’s on these.

Compliments my handmade soap
Not much to tell… It’s a soap dish. But it seems well-made and it works well to allow my natural soap to dry between uses without getting chunky. I go to sea and I work on a big ship. The shower facilities are fairly industrial… As you can tell from the photo. It’s nice to be able to keep my soap on something that helps extend the life of my handmade soap. I never thought a cedar soapdish would make a big difference. But when I started buying more expensive soap… I’m glad I spent a few extra bucks to buy a nice soap dish to go with it. Came in a two pack… One for the shower and one for the sink. perfect!

Recommend. Simple but effective
I purchased the soap dishes to use with solid shampoo and conditioner bars from the same seller/supplier.They are small and simple in design but effective. In my case they fit on a narrow ledge in a shower stall. The channels in the wooden dishes allow the bars to appropriately dry between uses.

I love the look of these
I love the look of these, and they look GREAT. Though they have 2 purposes. One is served better than the other.First: The dish has 3 slits on top (where the soap sits) and 2 slits on the bottom which run perpendicular to the slits above. The combination of these slits it to dry the soap and drain any excess water that the soap may contain. This purpose works flawlessly.Second: The second purpose is very simple; the dish is meant to be an easy solution to place your soap bar on without a mess, and to remove it with ease. Though it is not easy. The soap bar literally gets stuck/glued to the dish, making it incredibly hard to disconnect the two. I am a healthy male in my 20's. I attend the gym regularly with my prime goal being advancing my upper body strength. I have to put in serious force to disconnect the dish from the bar of soap. So much so that upon disconnection, my hand slipped and I hit my elbow fairly hard on the granite surface of my bathroom vanity. From that point on; I place the soap in an offset position on the dish, so that there is less contact between the dish and soap, allowing for an easier disconnection (though I still find myself wetting my hand and rubbing the surface of the bar for soapiness).Other than that, this is a great, well made product. Definitely game my bathroom a more modern look. I just feel like I had to speak out about the one flaw, as I am sure other customers will experience the same. I have heard the properties of bamboo might lessen this problem. I will give that a shot in the near future.Thank you,Filip

Perfect!!
Great design, water doesn't pool up. Works better than the soap sponge!!

best soap drainer out there
This is the best soap drainer. The wood comes to good slightly rounded points and the soap barely sticks to it at all and gets good ventilation.

Options
I purchased soap samples from Dr Squatch. I like the soap but I noticed when I let a bar sit on the soap ledge between showers, a noticeable soap print is on the ledge. In fact the print itself is, well, noticeable. I saw Dr Squatch had a soap tray made of the same material as yours but at a higher price. I didn't want to pay a higher price (the soap was costly enough) and I didn't want to lose quality in whichever soap tray I purchased. I compared your tray with Dr Squatch tray and chose yours. Yours is a product of quality; it looks good and the soap print is minimal. Thank you for being an "Amazon option" to the other guy.

Leaves stain on counter
I really enjoy the aesthetics of this product and it is a good size, however the design is not very functional. It leaves a stain on my counter every time it gets wet which is often considering its a soap dish. I wonder if it is stained wood despite it advertising otherwise because unstained wood likely wouldn't do this. Fortunately, I have not had any problem cleaning the stains. I have also noticed the colour of the wood has dulled over the short month that I've had it. Could be nice for a guest bathroom that isn't used very often, but otherwise I would not recommend this product.

It's rough.
Says handmade... but doesn't come sanded and was cut by a router. Not sure how they put any effort in, they couldn't be bothered to actually sand the rough edges out so that it looks nice.

Does not work
Looks great, but my bars stick to the tray to the point where I am forcefully pulling them apart to get my soap or shampoo. Does not work.
