Solid and smooth
I bought this to make a replica of a child's building block. After sanding the edges, I used chalk paint to age the block. I then cut family pictures in different shapes and attached to the sides of the block. The block was very easy with which to work and turned out well.

This is a 4 element composite block . It is not a one single piece wood block.If you plan to carve a statue it will have 3 colors and wood vain types.

Never again...wow
Solid as a rock finished beautifully but totally misleading if you are lucky you can put something the size of a can Crisco on top of it or 5 x 7 frame.Not anything substantial a total waste of $16.00 dollars!
