A very effect airflow boost for long duct runs
My friend remodeled his house resulting in the relocation of his washer & dryer to the very center of the building!A vertical run of 4" duct to the attic & 28' of horizontal duct to vent his dryer! Obviously we had to add a boost fan! His dryer accumulated water inside and the pipes soon plugged with lint. This duct fan rescued his ability to dry his laundry again! Honestly his house would have burned down if this fan hadn't been installed. The device itself is very basic...it's simple to install! The fan may be used without the remote speed adjustment/power switch if you are connecting it to a timer or switched outlet - simply unplug the speed controller and the fan will run at full speed when powered on.Coming up to speed does take a few seconds regardless of whether the speed controller is used or not.Four inch flexible duct fits easily over the intake & exhaust ports. I used a few wraps of vinyl tape on each flange so that the flexible duct would not slip off after it was clamped on. We used long nylon zip ties to hold the duct on the flange and it worked very well...an airtight and secure connection was accomplished with the addition of foil tape on the outside of the union.Airflow is very good too! The output of the fan is noticeably higher than the output of the clothes dryer. If the dryer is turned off and the fan remains running, the fan sucks hard enough that the air can be heard entering the sides of the dryer door when it is shut. The fan's baseplate is probably the simplest way to mount it but we suspended the fan from the rafters in a nylon rope sling to isolate the vibration. It's almost silent when operating in the attic, I cannot hear it in the house at all! This thing works well and I'd certainly buy it again. It's a great value for the price point. Two thumbs up!

A Little Under Powered
Good value for the money but I wish it had a bit more power. I’m using it in a HEPA filter application and the resistance to flow of the filter media slows the CFM down quite a bit.

Pretty quiet, feels well made
I own a 5th wheel RV that has an office in a dedicated slide out. (Jayco Pinnacle 37MDQS) There is only one 4" duct that supplies this room and it gets too hot. If you leave the door open and have a fan to push cold air in from the rest of the RV, its tolerable but there is no privacy. There is also an interference problem with the fridge door. Poor design. Anyhoo, found the duct in the loft area and added this inline. It accomplished two things. One, when it's turned on, it QUIETLY greatly increases air flow. We never need more than 25%. 100% is a hurricane. Two, it adds a little restriction when turned off directing more cold air to the rest of the RV. I did alter the controller so that the cord comes out the back so the mount can sit flush. This should be an option from factory IMO. So, it works great, its quiet (balancers on the blades) and seems like it's built to last. Well worth the $.

Great for barn
Wasn’t too time consuming to install. Really helps keep the barn from getting too hot and stuffy. Hasn’t had any overheating issues. I feel it is safe and effective. Tough construction. Not super loud. Good size. Thrifty price. Coating seems durable.

Fast Shipping and Product pretty solid
Used the device to move air from a pellet heated room to two other rooms in the house. Works exactly as planned. Little more than a hum at full speed, however I am going to suspend from straps to reduce vibration.Received the product earlier then specified and it was packed fairly well...Would buy from this vendor again... product as well.

I use this inline duct fan to circulate air to the 2nd level of my shed.
I have a shed on my property where the upper level is finished as my podcast studio/office space and also a second living room/guest space. We have a stove on the main level to heat the shed but didn't have a way to circulate air to the upper level. We connected this fan to a T that connects to flexible ducting that runs to a floor vent in each of the rooms in the loft. This made for an easy way to circulate warm air to my office and guest space in the winter months.Rating: 5 stars. Highly recommended.

Ultra Quiet
The media could not be loaded. Ultra quiet with a decent CFMThis is one of the quietest inline fans I have seen. The only sounds that really come from the device are the air moving through it, you don't hear any mechanical parts or knocking. I was very surprised when I first turned it on, not knowing if it was working or not. It does take a moment to spin up after you set the speed and performs well over time. For most uses, the volume of air this moves will be sufficient. Its CFM doesn't compare to some larger fans but will quickly ventilate an area and push the air out far if you're using it as a fan instead of inline with vents. It may not get to the CFM it boasts when using inside ventilation. This fan is best used to vent small areas like a bathroom or tent and is quite useful with the speed control. It is not powerful enough for what I am trying to use it for, but I will certainly find a use for it somewhere as it's so quiet I would forget it's doing its job.Quick Reply
