It's fun for the kids and I got it when it was on sale which was a good value for the amount and variety of pieces. The storage capacity and how easy it is to assemble is amazing.

This is really a great set, very versatile.I got tired of my son's legos taking over our family room, sounds crazy that I would buy more to address the issue, but i swear there is method to the madness. These are tucked into our coffee table and all other legos are banished to bedrooms. If they want to tinker while we are in the family room they play with these and they get put away after. It seems like a lot of thought went into making this a very versatile set, there are some instructions included but it's great for free play. One of my son's friends even told his mom he wants it too!The box is sturdy and makes organization easy. I wish all lego boxes were similar.It would be a great set to introduce a kid to legos or for grandparents to keep on hand for pint size guests.

My 4 year old son is very creative and also watches cartoons too much. I decided to splurge on this to get him doing less of the latter and more creative time. He absolutely loves this set, he builds all kinds of things, we do it together too. There’s SO much you can do with these it’s a great set. You can build your own things or use the books. It’s got him watching a-lot less tv and we bond when we build, I enjoy it also. If you’re thinking about getting it I definitely advise it!

First set of small LEGO for my kids. Surprised that my 5yr old did followed the instructions provided and build some cute things mostly by herself. Glad that I got this set!

There are tons of blocks. There are instructions for making 30-40 small creatures, and you can make all of the creatures without having to disassemble any that you've already made. My 6 and 3 year old daughters loved building out all of these and putting them in a pen.
