Picnic at Ascot Original Insulated Double Layer Thermal Food and Casserole Carrier- keeps Food Hot or Cold- Designed & Quality Approved in the USA

My wife was going to be out of town on business for Valentines Day. I decided to surprise her and bring a home cooked meal. (I cook all the meals so I know my way around the kitchen). One of her favorite meals is beef stroganoff and I have a recipe she loves. Made dinner. Packed a nice wine from our "cellar". Drove 2 hours to meet her. Stopped at local grocery to get a salad and flowers. Great meal by candlelight and no noisy neighbors at the next table or waiters rushing us.

The bottom is insulated for heat and the top is insulated for cold. I very stupidly put a hot thing in the top and melted the cold insulator plastic. So it's a great product as long as you don't do that. Lol. I wish both layers were for hot and cold instead of one layer for each. But otherwise great so far.

Great casserole / hot food carrier! This is so great that I bought one for my sister as well. She went crazy over it after she saw me bring food to her house for the Thanksgiving holiday. It is so elegant in the houndstooth pattern. The photo shows that you could store cold food in the upper section, but that section did seem to heat up with the hot food in the lower section. Definitely recommend this!!

Looks better in person and it's very well made! Will easily carry a large dish or two stacking 9X13 Pyrex dishes and a pie or similarly sized dessert on top.

Nice size to carry 2 items. Easy to wipe clean inside and keeps things cold or hot. I do use a cold pack or hot pack as well as most potlucks I attend do not always start on time. For hot items I place hot pads on the bottom as this further insulates the food. When I am not using it I store my ‘picnic’ plates, cups and silverware in there. It keeps everything together. Glad I bought this.

I chose this particular product because it’s difficult to locate carriers for 11x15 sized casserole dishes and I needed the product for a potluck luncheon. The description of this product was INCORRECT which is the reason for 3 stars. An 11x15 dish cannot not fit and I ended up using two 9x13 dishes which was a total inconvenience.

I purchased this because a different style that I had had for years wore out. This is a wonderful carrier. So handy and very sturdy. Just remember to put Hot Items in the bottom and Cold Items in the top! Very easy to use if only taking one dish. I especially like the top area where one can take serving pieces and they are well protected from falling out. I stick a zip lock bag in with my serving pieces-then if I have to bring one home dirty, I can just put it in the zip lock bag and it keeps the inside clean!

Love this carrier - perfect size. The bottom holds my 11x16 tray easily and I frequently carry wine or desserts in the top. Well designed and good quality. The houndstooth pattern is great looking.
