Value - Performance - Would Buy Again
The variety of thread tones across the rainbow spectrum was nice to see. I did not have to worry about finding the right color. It might be hard to tell from the attached picture, but I was working on a finely detailed and "difficult" project -- the first I've done of this kind on a single needle machine. Total of about 68k stitches, using Tatami stitching. So my little Brother said it would take about 3 hours to complete the stitching. I did not run into any breakage issues for at least the first two hours, so this thread was awesome for that. The issues I started having later were due more to my doing a project of this kind for the first time rather than the thread itself, which was beautifully lustrous and stood up well to washing. I would definitely buy this set again.

Really nice to work with
I wanted colors, lots of colors. I was concerned because of the fiber content, but I didn't need to be. Side by side with my rayons, it is just as shiny and easy to use. I love being able to pull my filled embroidery thread boxes down and play with all the combinations of colors. Worth every penny.

Beautiful Colors
I got this set thinking it was a different thread my daughter wanted to make bracelets! I was wrong! This set is absolutely fantastic and made with high quality! Since having this set, she has learned to sew as a new hobby and absolutely loves it! The value for the money is great as well! I highly recommend this variety!

It's ok thread to get a wide variety of not often used colors
My first impression after first use was not great. I tried one color and had several thread breaks with a small design. I tried another color with another simple design and I was getting a thread break every 100 stitches or so. Yep, I was annoyed and ready to box it up. But experience has shown me you might need to make some tweaks to make the thread work.New needle - no change to breakingDifferent size needle - no change to breakingincrease tension - no change to breakingdecrease tension - no change to breakingmove thread back to machine thread spool holder - no change to breakingchange out bobbin thread - no change to breakingclean bobbin case - no change to breakingclean other parts of machine - no change to breakingGive up for the night, try again in the morning with fresh mindset. No changes made. Loaded same problematic design and stitched with same stabilizer and same type of fabric (cotton quilting). Tried with different brand of thread that I'm not having issues with. Stitched fine.Put in crazy breaking color thread from night before. Stitched ok, but at the end of about 2500 stitches, it was starting to shred - so would have broken soon.I tried a few other colors and other designs without much issue, but it isn't a thread I feel I can turn my back on for too long, so I make sure I'm keeping my eye on it. I have no clue what the issue was that caused breaks so often the first time I tried it.If you purchase it and it isn't working great with your machine, clean your machine, change your needle, make sure you have the correct stabilizer for your fabric. I find that my horizontal machine spool holder doesn't work great for all threads, so use a stand alone vertical thread spool holder which seems to help with breaking on other more affordable brands of thread. Most embroidery machined will work just fine with all thread, you just have to figure out what needs to be tweaked to make it work. But I don't want to spend hours changing things and rethreading my machine 40+ times before I find out it just needed a time out.I think 3.5 stars is where I'd rate this thread. Since you can't, I went with a 4 over the 3 because I did get it to work but it took a bit of trial and error to get to that point. If you are just starting out, I think it is worth the purchase so you have a variety of colors. Just be aware, if it doesn't play nice with your machine at first, you might need to make some adjustmendts.Pros:cost - you are getting 80 spools of thread for less than $50color variety - you are getting 80 spools of thread, so there is a pretty good chance you will have a color that works for what you are stitchingCons:thread breaking - You might need to adjust settings to get it to stitch well
