Works perfectly
Used it as a blast gate for my propane forge, works perfectly. Screw locks the gates so it doesn't drift from vibrations. Recommend it!

Blast Gate sliding mechanism not up to standard
The sliding mechanism is really tight and difficult to open when closed. Expected this blast gate to be a bit more "User Friendly"

Unsafe and poor design
Cut my finger pretty good on the design of this blast gate after catching my finger in a poorly milled slot.Also, the design gets dust trapped between the metal sections and you’ve got to remove four screws to get it out (compressed air and a toothpick did not work to get it out).

I installed this in a school shop dust collection system and it worked well as a blast gate. I will be buying more to complete the system.

The part that slides is really thin metal.
