It took two tries to get the ashtray cover to where I was happy with it and the rest was on one attempt
This was my first effort in vinyl wrapping and I wanted to do my car's center console trim. It took two tries to get the ashtray cover to where I was happy with it and the rest was on one attempt. The material is stiff but with a heat gun becomes far more malleable than I expected. I'm very happy with the way my project turned out. I used a razor, scissors, 3M adhesion promoter wipes for the edges, and a heat gun.

Maybe I’m just bad at it?
As others have said it is very difficult to master. I tried wrapping a dash piece at work since I have done quite a bit of vinyl work before. This unfortunately has very minimal play and I kept ending up with bubbles or creases. I’m not a pro with this material by any means, but I wouldn’t recommend this to an amateur for anything besides a perfectly smooth surface. I tried no heat gun, then I tried a heat gun, and ended up with a close but no cigar end product. Coworker wrapped a lighter and it worked great, held up through the covid and everything lol.

1080 or 2080?
Product appears to be high quality genuine 3m vinyl. Confusion arises though as the sticker on the outside of the roll from VViViD Vinyl states 1080 consistent with the Amazon description but the backing in the vinyl says 3m 2080. Not sure what to make of this. I’d done some research and was under the impression that the 2080 has a top clear layer that you’re meant to peel off after installation but I don’t see it. Anyway, 4 stars on account of the opposing labeling.

Looks awesome, great quality
I put this in my Snap-On epiq drawer handle tops to protect them. Snap-on makes a set of real carbon fiber but it’s like $1500 so I went with the next best thing since real carbon fiber doesn’t matter to me. Stuck on easy, easily pealed back off and re-stuck. I tried to redo a drawer the other day and after awhile of being on, it’s REALLY on there. It’s not just gonna start coming off with time like I expected. Great quality, definitely suggest it

Buy from a better company
Extremely thick for a vinyl wrap. 3m usually has very good vinyl wrap but this stuff wont even take. The glue on the back is very cheap even taking a heat gun to it doesnt help much

Low cost and easy way to improve the aesthetics on your vehicle.
I used this to cover the front bumper cover on my Focus RS. I may order another roll to do the roof of the car as well. The wrap is easy to handle and looks really nice. The vinyl cuts very easily and I was able to get the front bumper cover done quickly.

Torn up edges
It was delivered with torn up edges. Not a problem for the entire roll however for the price of vinyl we shouldn’t have issues like this and should be able to utilize every inch of it. The first two inches of the vinyl were useless to us as it won’t stick to anything being torn up.

Better than expected
This is a pretty good wrap, I used it inside my car and it has held up pretty well over the couple of months they have been installed. I was surprised since there has been a change in weather from hot to cold but still holding strong. the best advice is patience and applying heat. there is no need for a heat gun, a hair dryer would be perfectly fine. the material has a texture to it so if you want a smooth surface that this is not the vinyl wrap for you.
