These types of molds are very easy to use. I’d suggest using fondant if you are using the rope decoration for a standing cake. Molding chocolate is probably great for the leaves unless you want them to have that “curved” effect that actual petals do. Nice quality and very easy to wash. The sizes of each mold are just right.

I wanted to learn how to make a few decorations for my cakes as they looked bland. So I got this mold that would help do that. The you tube video suggested starting with different colors of modeling clay which I thought was weird but was really fun and its almost the same consistency as some fondants. But by doing this it also helps you get to understand how this mold with its 15 different mold shapes works and how you can really use them on a cake. I like the fact that you can use them in the oven, freezer, microwave, and the dishwasher without the mold warping and damaging the mold. The shapes were fun to fill, then I used a popsicle stick to scrape off the excess. Easy to remove from the mold. I can see trying lots of these shapes on cakes and cookies in the months to come.

Finally got a chance to test this mold and I am loving the rope and leaf patterns.I used it for fondant and loved the result. Make sure to dust the mold and every crevice with generous amount of cornstarch before putting the fondant in. Roll the fondant thin and press it down really well, getting every nook and cranny. Cut off the excess, then flip and slowly release by pushing from the back.I typically follow these steps for any silicone mold with fondant. And I am glad that they worked well for this mold as well!If you are looking for cute rope patterns and some leaves and features, definitely try this mold out!

Very well made mold. The mold is nice and thick. It works perfect with fondant, chocolate, And even caramel. I was able to pour hot caramel and chocolate in it without the mold degrading in anyway I was able to pour hot caramel and chocolate in it without the mold degrading in anyway I was able to easily bend and maneuver the mold to get the fondant and everything that I need it out. I wash the mold and soap and water. And so far it’s holding up very well.
