Works great with centroid acorn!
I hooked up the three wires and it works great with acorn! Black to com on the H9 header, yellow to IN7 for probe tripped, red to IN6 for probe detect. I had to get a 6ft usb-c extension cable to make it reach my acorn in the box on the back of my large bed mill. The cable that comes with it is 6.6 feet.

Not as precise as I had hoped
Nice product but... 2.5 mm probe is 1 source. Also not as precise as I had hoped. +/- .004 is best I have seen. Swap X to Y bad idea

bad
Z Axis Doesn't Work, Not Recommended.

Work with Acorn Centroid
Works well with Centroid CNC12 software and hardware. Simple 3-wire connection

Probe tip is bent..
Shows up in decent packaging plastic case lined with foam... but yet still, the tip is bent.. Alot... maybe I can make a new probe, maybe the sender will ship me spare parts.. untill then... some "super concentric" edge finder I have here..It does feels nice, it has some weight to it for the size... it's unfortunate tho that there's no chance of it's finding an edge with an accuracy greater than +/- quarter inch...Edit - I'll up my rating from. 1 start to 4 after removing and straitening the probe tip as best I could with a wheel in the lathe, I reassembled the unit. There's 4 set screws around the top that allow you to dial center in like a 4 jaw chuck. You can use your spindle against a fixed location, touch off and rotate to find where it triggers and where it doesn't, adjusting the set screws untill centered...After fixing it, it seems to work fairly well and is repeatable... im still not happy that it showed up looking like it was thrown at the wall, but at the end of the day with some effort I was able to get it back to "half decent"Side note. The probe tip thread is m2.5... theres no alternatives easily available to the probe that somes with it.. if you want a ruby ball tip, you'll have to run a die over the threads on the new m3 ruby probe..

great
it was delivered only few hours after order was placed. this thing is tiny, i thought there must be some mistake. the shaft is 6.0mm diameter. cable is 3 wire as stated with USB-C connector. the internal circuit is correct though not very detailed. it cannot be tested just with multimeter, it needs power. when powered on it lights up green and output is same as supply voltage (I tested with 12V since it happened to be the closest one at hand). when tripped it is red and output is 0VDC. tip can deflect some 10mm in any direction. looks great and it works. personally i would prefer an M8 connector and use standard industrial sensor cable but this is fine.
