It's sturdy
it really is nice, easy to put in place and after I installed it I had problems with it at all, great gate, it stop my Boston Terrier from peeing on my fridge, stove , cabinets and anything he can lift his leg on, I'm 82 and I've made many mistakes in my life but he's one of the biggest, well at least my kitchen stays clean

Beautiful and very sturdy!
Very sturdy, heavy duty and looks like my iron rod. Love it. Looks like it was built in even though it wasn’t. I used the pressure rods and it’s great. I even used it in my iron rod and it works perfectly. Easy to use, and latch is perfect.

You absolutely ***CAN REMOVE*** this gate! Read my review!!!!
Once we got the measurements and read the first page or two of the instruction manual, we had no problem installing the gate. It was super easy, easier than I even anticipated. Just want to stress the importance of not messing with the tightening once you’ve cut the red zip tie that has a sign that says do not cut until after install. It messes with the way the gate shuts. Make sure it’s secure, cut the red zip tie and don’t mess with it. It works beautifully. I’m so happy with it. Easily worth the money. We’re getting at least 3 more because we have 3 levels of our home and 2 sets of stairs so we’ll have a total of 4 gates. We simply used the pressure based install rather than the screws because our home is newly renovated and we don’t want to mess up the walls and the brand new banisters. It’s insane how sturdy this baby gate is. I’m thoroughly impressed and I absolutely love how nice it looks. 10 out of 10 recommend. UPDATE::: This update has everything to do with having to remove the gate and then reinstall it. I genuinely believed once you install the gate (using the pressure mounts only) that it absolutely could not be removed and reinstalled. Boy was I wrong. Yes, the initial instructions say not to cut the big red zip tie until you’ve finished the installation, but it’s not as scary as they make it seem. You can literally remove this gate however many times you need to and then reinstall it just fine. The one thing you will need, however, is heavy duty zip ties (or multiple regular but elongated zip ties). Which we had because we had been in the process of moving . Because we moved into our newly renovated home very recently from a super tiny 2 bedroom apartment, we had to buy a lot of new furniture. I was concerned about the fact that we wouldn’t be able to reinstall the baby gates if we had to remove them and we were fully prepared to just chuck these in that case and buy 2 new gates. I mean, what the heck are you supposed to do with a toddler running around? Just not put in a gate because it’s gonna get in the way 3 weeks later when the furniture is delivered??? Of course not. What happens when you remove the pressure from the pressure mounts is that the door part of the gate basically separates and your first instinct is to panic. Which is exactly what I did. But fear not, for I have the answer! You’re absolutely going to need to use some brute force and some sort of zip tie, be it heavy duty or just basic, but what you need with the zip tie is to simply “scrunch” it to the point you can get the gate back into the place you had it installed initially. For us, we had them at the top and bottom of our staircase. As long as it fits, all you have to do is reinstall it like you did the first time. And I did this for the bottom and top of our staircase. Once you get the gate to fit through the space you needed it to fit into, you just keep spinning the little black piece around the screw on both sides and both top and bottom until it’s back into place and BAM it works just like it did before. Because of this, I am an even bigger fan of these gates. They look amazing they function perfectly and you can remove them over and over if necessary. Freaking awesome. Again, this is only for the pressure mount option. I have no idea if this works for the permanent screw mount.

Perfect for stairs with rounded banisters—No drilling and "Toddler-Proof"
I’ve been using this gate for 6 months on a high-traffic stairwell with two rough boys (a toddler and a 4-year-old). We needed something that wouldn't damage our walls or the oak banister at the top of our stairs. Why this stands out: The Angled Bracket (The Winner): Most pressure-mounted gates only work on flat walls. This gate includes an angled bracket that allowed us to secure it to a rounded post without it slipping. It’s rock-solid despite the unusual mounting point. No-Drill Installation: The pressure mount is fantastic. It stays tight and doesn't leave marks, installation was fast and easy to follow the instructions. The "Smart" Latch: It hits the sweet spot for security. My 4-year-old has figured out the mechanism, which is actually helpful for us, but the toddler hasn't been able to bypass it yet. Two-Way Opening: Being able to swing the gate in both directions is a small detail that makes a massive difference in a busy household. The "Wiggle" Factor: I will note that the gate door has a slight wiggle when locked. However, after 6 months of the boys hanging on it and pushing against it, it hasn't failed or shifted. The durability is definitely there. Final Verdict: 5 Stars. If you have a rounded banister and don't want to drill into your woodwork, this is the gate to get.

Sturdy Easy Install
Very easy installation. Gate is very convenient and secure when closed. This is a heavy duty item. Only four stars because it is easy to trip when going through which is common with these units. This item has a heavy plastic threshold that attaches on the bottom brace and it is dangerous if you have on rubber sole shoes as it will cause you to trip if you drag your foot across instead of stepping over it cleanly. Very dangerous if it as the top of a stair case. You just have to stay aware of this problem which is prevalent on any gated barrier. Very sturdy and quality made. I use it to keep my pup out of the garden level as she thinks it is her personal latrine. Great item to keep small children protected and animals out of restricted ares in you home.

Quality. Sturdy. Adjustable. Attractive.
Outstanding quality gate. Perfectly adjustable to fit an awkward space. Years ago I had several gates like this style, but they were flimsy and allwackming apart. I did have purchase an extra long bannister attachment, which I knew I would need ahead installation.I did have to slightly widen the hole for the after market bannister attachments The gate is of excellent quality and design, sturdy base, human sized gate, lol and numerous attachments to customize with easy to understand directions.

Sturdy, renter friendly gate
This baby gate is a lifesaver keeping our golden retriever out of the kitchen. It’s very easy to set up and with three installation methods it’s renter friendly. After two months we have yet to have a problem with it. Very sturdy. I love that it opens in both directions and holds open on its own when opened 90 degrees. 100% worth the cost.
