Complete Preludes and Etudes-Tableaux (Dover Classical Piano Music)

Very tough to find a complete collection of Rachmaninoff’s preludes AND etudes at this price point. It is definitely a great deal in that regard. However, similar to other Dover editions, the book itself is rather small and the pages are not made out of the highest quality material. My biggest complaint is that the musical notation is a little smooshed together making it hard to tell which note in a chord the accidentals are meant for. If you are familiar with Rachmaninoff then you’ll know this is often not a trivial matter.

I like this edition of the Rachmaninoff Preludes and Etudes-Tableaux because it is truly complete. It is easy to get scores of all of the Preludes (both Op. 23 and Op 32) but finding a collection of ALL of the Etudes-Tableaux is not easy. Many editions are labeled as "complete" but they don't include many of the Etudes-Tableaux. I don't know why they are called "complete".This edition includes all of the Etudes-Tableaux plus all the Preludes. Thus it's title is correct. Dover has done a good job once again.

Someone ripped out Prelude in C-Sharp Minor.

Good book

Terrible print (for modern standards) and the papers sometimes flip over while you're trying to read&play. However, it's 13$. Can't argue with the price.

It is what it is and arrived on time at the right price.

Bought this book online cause its always cheaper than a store. The book is very new, nothing to complain about it.

This used copy of Rachmaninoff's complete preludes and etude-tableaux was in perfect condition. Its a flexible copy, because it survived the mail man folding it in half in the mail! I might need to be held open by another book until it breaks in a little. The edition is great, but it has no fingerings, if you like those. It arrived in 3 days, and I payed an exeptionally low student price for it ($12.99CAD). Enjoy!

Ce folio est acceptable en termes de qualité: papier, couleurs, clarté, etc. Je n'aime pas la couverture, trop criarde. Le livre ne reste pas ouvert facilement, ce qui rend difficile de jouer en regardant la partition pour apprendre un morceau car il se ferme tout le temps.Les morceaux ne suivent pas une progression logique de page en page: autrement dit, les pages ne sont pas forcément divisées suivant une coupure naturelle dans l'évolution du morceau.C'est un recueil intéressant, malgré ces défauts, pour le prix.
