I really thought the ShowNovo YRY Smart Breath Odor detector would be a gimmick! I was very wrong! It really works and very well! It's USB-C rechargeable and includes a sturdy charging cable. Recharges quickly and is very easy to use. Just press large gold ring button to turn on, press down on the top to pop-up the sensor. The unit automatically warms up as it counts down. Then a blue LED line flashes on the screen signaling the unit is ready for you to breathe into sensor. The unit then analyzes your breath and gives you the breath odor reading. I tested it after eating several different foods to test it. Foods that were more pungent gave me a higher reading. It works very well. The battery life is really good. I really find it useful! I love being able to make sure my breath is fresh. I work closely with co-workers and patients at my job. The ShowNovo YRY Smart Breath Odor detector provides me with the reassurance that my breath is not offensive! Highly recommend it! Great build quality; very sturdy; easy to use and works quickly! Very nice clear and bright LED readout makes it easy to read. Definitely not a gimmick!

People don't think it does anything cuz they keep getting the same reading test after test after test and that's fair. The instructions on HOW TO use this device are weak. Try cupping your hand around the device making a tunnel to your mouth and blow hard repeatedly. The machine needs a good sample of your breath to measure it. So give it a haw then blow it in and repeat until it vibrates to signal the end of the test. It works...

A portable halimeter Wow! I work in close proximity to other people and I am very conscious about how my breath smells. Some people fail to realize that how your breath smells is also an indicator of your mouth health. It's no substitute to regular mouth hygiene, but it's a handy tool to keep on track with it. The halimeter is roughly 4.5 by 1.5 inches and very handy. It is usb charged. After the test of blowing on a sensor for 5 seconds, it gives you a reading of 1 to 4. The card with the packet gives an interpretation of what the level means and gives suggestions. Technically, I think it's a meter that measures the sulfides on your breath which studies say are the common cause of bad breath. I think this product is for a niche market who are conscious of their mouth health and how their breath smells. I think it works but can easily be tricked by drinking a glass of water before using it.

This is a nicely made small sensor, but I don't think a person would use it very much. It is small and light and appears to be made of quality materials. It's easy to use, but it won't give you accurate results if you use it within 20 minutes of consuming anything or cleaning your teeth. Also I don't believe that it can detect every possible odor.
