Easy to store
So, for the price, this is O.K. It doesn't fold open as easily as in the video, but it does give one an extra 8-10 inches of height. I bought it as an emergency back-up in case I forgot my normal step-stool when going camping (which I need to get to some features of my rooftop tent). This folds very flat, which makes it easy to just keep in the car at all times. For anyone who needs a little extra height, and is dealing with very limited in space, this performs well.

Surprisingly Small, Even Given the Dimensions Beforehand
It's cute. It's clever... It's pretty small. The product was intriguing. As an older backpacker, having a carry-along seat is a comfort factor. Now there are ultralight foam sit pads (on the ground, on a rock, on a log), there are lightweight camping chairs (pricey, a bit short, but comfortable), there are even ultralight camping stools (easy to carry and use, nice). Here we have a new potential seat, a fold-up, snap-together stool/seat like the steps you saw train porters set down for passengers to board. Weighs a bit over half a pound (8.5oz), and folds flat to carry in a pack.So how did it work out?Well, it's only 6" off the ground. The 'seat' width is 9" and depth only 5". Let's say most adults would have a hard time 'targeting' the seating surface, and a good number might find themselves on the ground instead. Now for my 4 year old grandson? No problem. Yeah, surprisingly small... and low.How about as a stepping stool? Well, it's only 6" off the ground, if that's enough help, Ok, but remember, the foot of most adults will hang over and behind the step surface (only 5" deep), and the diminuative size of the stool might give you doubt it can support your weight. What else can it do? It can fold up and snap together to carry it. And, when turned upside down it can be a basket you can carry (but rocks/falls if set down). What will I do with it? Maybe take it as a toddler's seat at picnics and fireworks outings.

Very sturdy as an in flight foot stool
I’m not very tall and this was perfect to use as a foot stool when I fly. It made flying so much more comfortable. It folds down flat and was very easy to fit in my carry on.

bought it for long airplane rides
I bought this for anticipated long airplane rides. When I got this at home I was happy how I could sit with my feet raised up but once aboard the plane, the angle of the plane seat didn't allow for the correct placement of this stool. I had to angle the stool against my backpack which caused it not to be stable. Also, it has to be picked up and repositioned for fellow passengers to move in and out of the aisle. I loved the idea of this: it fitted well in my backpack like a notebook, but is really too small and unstable to be effective for my needs.

Portably perfect
So I got this for two reasons. 1) I’m often sitting in various places sketching the landscape. 2) when I walk my cat, and she suddenly stops for 45 min, I have a place to rest. It’s sturdy, and I love that it flattens down. Perfect. Even fits in my shoulder bag, next to my sketch book.

So darn handy!
It's sturdy yet lightweight. It works as a seat, step up, and a little bucket. Love it! Wish it was a little easier for me to fold and unfold, but it will get easier with use.
