Tedious. Wipe on wipe off. I do it in two batches. I use a paint brush wait 30 minutes then clean up overage with microfiber towel. After that dries I then go over area where grout might have been pulled up, let set then wash floor with clean microfiber towel. Work in batches 4x4. They no longer make my color โstrawโ so ordered another color that looks close but havenโt opened it yet.

I first bought this several years ago and had good results with it. Buying it again in October 2025, they've changed the cap from a simple, large gauge square to a tiny pinprick. I guess the idea was to make it easier to control the flow, though I never had problems with the old one, but the problem is that it blocks up every 20-30 seconds! I ended up drilling the hole to about three times its original size to make it even possible to work with. Go back to the old cap, as shown in the manufacturer video attached to this product, and it will be a much more usable product.

The color I used was Biscuit and you can't go wrong with it since it's very neutral. It's a little grayish white, but matched the tile beautifully. I just remodeled my bathroom and the grout was the ugly dark color shown in the photo. I have to caulk that and waiting for it to cure so I can add some white caulk with the color and apply to that corner. I scrubbed my tile first with a bleach based bathroom cleaner and gave it an hour to dry. This product was easy to apply using a toothbrush which I cut the higher bristles down with scissors. Give the bottle a good shake. I found using less product is better. I applied a very thin line around 4" long to each side of the tile and worked it in with the toothbrush and it doesn't hurt to have a spare one handy. DON'T use a paint brush for better results. It's ok if you make a mess because you can easily wipe off the excess with a damp cloth towel in 20-25 minutes, but mist the area with a spray bottle first. If you wait longer than 25 minutes it will be harder to get off so I suggest working in sections if you have a larger area. Don't try to wipe it up as you go along because you will make more work for yourself since it needs to dry a little. Don't use paper towels on the whole floor to clean up excess because you will need a whole roll. I did my whole floor and shower in less than 2 hours. The color is beautiful and it completed my remodel. Just so you can understand how easy this is to use, I'm a senior female and have some physical disabilities and did this with very little difficulty.

This grout refresh works extremely well IF you apply it properly. I used it on my tile floors in the kitchen and bathroom almost 3 years ago and it just now needs a refresh. Here's what you need to know: 1) The first step is to clean the floor REALLY WELL and then let it dry completely. Any dirt or grease will affect the staying power of this product. I used a mildly diluted bleach to clean the whole floor before applying. 2) Use the tip of the applicator to draw a very fine line of the refresh on the grout. 3) Use a thick brush to work the refresh into the grout. Don't use a paint brush - a toothbrush or similar brush works best; it gets down into the course surface of the grout. 4) Wait only a minute or so to wipe the excess off the tile. This is basically a paint - if you leave it on the tile for more than a minute or two, it is a pain to remove it from the tile. 5) Use a paper towel - not a rag - to remove the excess from the tile. A paper towel removes the 'paint' from the tile but is less likely to remove the it from the grout. 6) Wait for several hours and then use plain water and lightly mop the entire floor. This will remove most of the excess on the tile without removing the color from the grout. If this sounds complicated and time-consuming, it is not. Not counting the time to dry, the process takes less than an hour for an average size kitchen; bathrooms take considerably less time. My experience was on floors in a previously-owned 35-year-old house with floors that had not been cared for. Before and after pictures included.

Purchased my house a few years ago and the kitchen had beige tile with brown grout. This helped make the floor look so much brighter and clean. This is a very inexpensive way to bring life back to your floors. I really wanted to rip mine out but now I definitely feel like I can hold off on that for now! I did a bunch of trial and error to figure out the best application method for me. I liked using a small detail paintbrush and putting the paint in a small container so I could control how much paint I was using on the paintbrush. I had way less excess paint getting on the tile this way. For my type of tile/grout, the directions said to let dry and use a wet cloth to remove excess paint on the tile, but I found just using a dry paper towel to wipe away excess as I painted was much easier and efficient. I also will note that I needed two coats of paint because my grout was dark brown.
