However, the fan motor I ended up installing had a **built-in capacitor**, which meant I didn’t need this standalone part. Instead, I wired the motor directly into the dual-run capacitor using the standard C, FAN, and HERM terminal layout. This worked flawlessly and simplified the system wiring. Review: Great run capacitor - This cap worked great to replace the run cap for the circulation pump in my Artesian hot tub. The motor would hum but not start. After checking the old cap with my meter it was almost completely dead. After installing this new one it’s working great. The new one is almost exactly 5uf too, well within the rated tolerance. Curious to see how long this lasts but at $8 I’m already satisfied. Order a spare to have on hand.
