This does exactly what it says and does it well
I needed to mount another camera right next to an existing camera. Not wanting to run a new cable, I found this device. It's cheaper than all of the other options and an absolute bargain at $15!There are others that perform the same function but are mounted next to the cameras. I live in a hot climate and didn't want to have a device outside, subject to the heat and potential early failure. This device keeps the actual electronic device (multiplexer) inside next to the NVR. It comes with two short ethernet cables. Plug one into each port on the NVR and the other ends into the IN ports on the multiplexer.Attach the cable to the cameras to the OUT port on the multiplexer. At the cameras, attach the splitter to the cable running from the device connected to the NVR and then plug the male ends of the splitter into the cameras and done! The cameras came up and have been working flawlessly for the past week. Zero issues with lag, dropped packets, etc.The DIN rail connector is a nice touch which helps to tidy everything up.The only configuration required is a small switch. It's for either 12/36 or 45/78 power depending on your cameras. A quick Google search of your hardware should tell you which is required. My Dahua NVR and cameras worked on 12/36.I will definitely buy more of these as it makes it easy to add more cameras and, in my case, 12V IR illuminators.10/10 recommend
