Freeze Free Pipe Heating System 15 ', 30 "

The gravity emptying condensate line on my gas fired attic located furnace froze one nite. The condensate backed up and shut the furnace down. I installed this heat trace and have had no problems since.

I bought a 15 ft Easy Heat Freeze Kit back in 1988. The concrete contractor did not lay the Garage Floor drain deep enough in the concrete. I tried snaking an Easy Heat element inside the pipe and up a little in the floor drain. When water would melt from our vehicles it would flow down the drain and out the back, when it got cold enough here in NH I simply turn on the Heat Tape and within a couple of hours the garage would be free and clear of ice. I noticed this fall that when I turned the heat tape on nothing happen. I took my my tester and figured that the Easy Heat died. So for $45 I bought a new one, had too much luck with the other one to change now. I know it's NOT the way to use it, but it WORKED!!!!

I purchased this for a 4" pvc pipe that works as a chicken coop waterer. I put it together as best as possible after reading the instructions several times. I used it for 1 month, never worked well, and drove my electric bill up for that month. It was on the same circuit as ours lights, which caused them to flicker often.I unplugged and and took the loss.I didn't have any luck with it, but I am sure it might work well for other uses.

It's as easy as it can be to install this pipe heater cable. What I mean is, installing heat cable on a pipe under the house is never an easy project but this system makes it, like I said, as easy as it can be. I would buy it again and would recommend it to anyone.

No frozen pipes so far

As described.

Its been as low as -15*F lately and my well pump is above ground, I haven't had a single issue with frozen pipes this winter. Very happy with this cable.

I followed The Instructions and installed on the exposed pipes under my house, and put the unit on a simple plug-in Timer set to run from midnight to 8:00am, to save electricity.... and so far, no more frozen water pipe.
