Works great and I love the length of the cord

I purchased the item twice. The first one fit but the cord was damage, coming apart. The second one I purchase (same cord) did not fit at all. I have been out of the county and just returned and passed the date that I was suppose to return it. Can I still return both cords for a replacement?I have an old Apple IPAD, Model # A1395. I purchased the cord because the old one does not work anymore.
