Excellent kit for a mid-80s small block Chevy truck motor being prepared for installation in a 40โs street rod. DOES NOT have the additional wiring harness for connecting to the ECM, so wouldnโt work if I wanted a direct replacement for the truck the engine WAS in. Very satisfied with the quality and looks of the unit.

Spark plug wires very cheaply made
Distributor still works fine but the spark plug wires aren't worth anything and may leave you stranded. Really cheap soft rubber. Burned right thru and lost spark to the plugs. Only lasted a couple hundred miles. Had to buy a complete new set.

Junk
Oil pump drive blade is not beveled and very wide. Prevents distributor from fully seating leaving it loose in the hole. I have three old hei distributors laying around and they all have a beveled drive blade and seat fine. Since I didnโt get to this stage of the project i missed the return window so it is junk to me today.
