Nice
They are smaller than I thought and I thought it was a bit more basic. But it is a nice book for when mine is a little older.

A good addition to a toddler or preschooler's library
I couldn't disagree with the poor rating reviews more. This book (nor is any) meant to be a stand alone book. And it's less than 4 bucks. I would imagine this book would be READ TO a preschooler and that it would be up to the one doing the reading to follow up and commentate as they went along. I found the book to be delightful, mostly because it was NOT done in the run-of-the-mill manner. For those who were somewhat disappointed, well, we will merely agree to disagree. I purchased this book for my granddaughter because my g-daughter is one of the thousands and thousands of toddlers who LOVES Elmo. I purchased this book specifically with her in mind, and it certainly met our expectations.P.S. I found the quality of the pages to be completely in line with a four dollar book.

First ABC Book Ive Seen With a Good Story.
THIS IS NOT A BOARD BOOK. This is just a regular soft covered flimsy paper book so if you are looking for something to give to your toddler it's probably not the best thing. This has really been the BEST ABC book i have found. Most ABC books have no story just "a is for apple, b is for bat" that junk, but this book has content. An absolutely adorable concept in my opinion. The thing i DO NOT like is the last page. I don't know if this is a vintage picture or a lapse of artistic talent on the illustrator's side but that has got to be the UGLIEST drawing of Zoe I've seen in my life. It doesn't even look like Zoe. I have been drawing Zoe for like a few weeks and I could get her better then that.

Elmo's ABC Book
It's hard to go wrong with Sesame Street and Elmo's ABC Book does not disappoint. Bold, colorful illustrations with a beloved Sesame Character just naturally help the child attend to an important subject to them- the alphabet! Be a little creative and use the book to randomly identify letters or imitate Elmo's voice! I downloaded this to my KIndle so that my granddaughter can read it any place, any time. Children love to see and hear books over and over even if we find it a little trying, so read it again and again and know you are enhancing your little one's knowledge and entertainment.

Just cute....not great
This book is definitely cute and there's nothing majorly wrong with it. I purchased this for my 14 month old son. The problem, I guess that's what I'll call it, is that some of this things depicted as examples of words that start with such and such letter, are too abstract for kids under probably 3....maybe older . For instance, the letter "I" uses Imagination as the example word. I just don't know why they wouldn't have used a more easily illustrated and understood word such as "ice cream" even "igloo". They also use "love" for "L" which is nice, but again it's a bit abstract for a really small child. Other than that, the pictures are brightly colored and of course, there's Elmo. Not my favorite ABC book, but hardly awful. Would be appropriate for a child over 2 1/2 in my opinion.
