We're Finally at the Farmhouse! Welcome to Northampton
The IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle have finally come to the "recuperation point" of the series with the turtle's stop at the Farmhouse in Northampton. The story pacing took a step back from action and focused more on the mental recovery process for Leonardo, the physical recovery process for the entire team, the new friendship with an old enemy, Alopex, and the introduction of the newly mutated Koya. The storyline, while less action packed than the previous compilation, was still interesting to read. I particularly liked seeing the interaction of Raphael with Leonardo and Alopex respectively. Seeing the interaction with Alopex and Raphael reminded me greatly of the Raphael/Ninjara relationship (from the Archie Comic Series), and I was dreading seeing the Raph/Alopex ships sailing, but after reading IDW's take on it, I was not only greatly relieved that they decided to skip the romantic factor of it, and instead decided to focus on complications their past would have on their future friendship. That said, I hope they bring Alopex back in some form - she's an interesting character. The artwork in the book was by Ross Campbell. I love Campbells style and artwork - this is probably the only artist who can make the turtles look cute, but still daunting. The artistry is very organic, and is a perfect fit for the naturey environment the turtles are in. Overall, I'm really enjoying the reboot in the IDW universe. The story is finally tying in a lot of things from the original comic and cartoon series that fans found unanswered, and developing the characters much more deeply. I'm looking forward to seeing what else IDW has in store for our green heroes. Recommended!

slower moving
This chapter was a bit slower than the previous chapters but it was still a real page turner. It is good to see how the family deals with their struggles from City Fall.

Good for new and old fans alike
This series has found a happy medium between my original love of the 80's TV series and my later discovery of the original comics. I think it's by far the better iteration if the turtles.

TMNT at its best
Continuing the adventures of our heroes this chapters is much more centered on the characters than any action pieces but boy can it pull on our heart strings? The emotional impact on everything that happened in the previous volumes hits them pretty hard and the reader along with them. Be prepared to find some random dust in your eyes.
