This comb has been a game-changer for grooming my Exotic Shorthair cat. Love it! I have a Maine Coon with very fine down and he develops small mats behind his front legs, in front of his rear legs, and sometimes on his belly. My old methods were not effective because he is more impatient than my previous Maine Coons. So I found this tool and thought I would try it.I was upset when I took it out because the blades face up instead of down. This makes it nearly impossible to use, even left-handed (and I am right-handed). For a cat, you will need to be behind him and rake towards yourself to maintain control. Well, I saw the nut on the top and bingo! Take the nut off and you can disassemble the comb and put the blades back on on in any of four ways you want! Now it works fantastically- best dematting tool I have ever used. So much easier than trying to pick them out with a wide comb or cut them out.

This comb works wonderful. Fits in your hand and is the right size! Very sturdy, we are very happy with it!

This is a good dematting comb, though a couple of severe matts had to be cut out, as the comb would not penetrate the matted fur. (I do not, however, blame this on the comb.) This comb worked well on all other areas of the Golden Retriever and it removed a lot of the shedding undercoat with minimal pulling and discomfort. It was light weight, easy to hold and was a good value for the money. One downside was I ended up being covered in fur; but it was used on a breed that goes through heaving shedding.

We’re amazed by how well this comb works! Our Goldendoodle is prone to heavy matting, and every grooming session used to end with her completely shaved. After trying countless tools, we finally found this comb and it truly delivers. Her coat is now soft, smooth, and mat-free. Just be cautious, the blades are sharp, so use the thumb rest for safety while grooming. I’m extremely happy with this purchase and highly recommend it to other doodle owners!

This works well when taking small sections of hair and working through slowly. It does the job of detangling matted hair. It is a must have grooming tool.

This comb works to get the dead hair out. My 4 year old shihpoo did not complain or run away when I used it on her. She did not have mats, just some thick hair that needed to be combed through. The first time I used it one of the teeth got bent to the side. I had to pull it back to align it with the rest of the teeth. Other than that, it worked well.
