EKEkcessories 10942C-C20-AM Black Dual Sided Smart Card Holder with Detachable Lanyard

First, the image Amazon has for this product is wrong. Many people had clear plastic sleeves with lanyards attached but I heard nothing but complaints about that type of holder and even about a few lost ID's from when the sleeve finally tore. I had decided to just keep my CAC in my pocket up pulling it out out every time I needed to walk through a door was inconvenient at best. I eventually gave in and decided I was going to look for a better option. I eventually found this product and went ahead and ordered it.That was ~7 months ago now and I haven't looked back. I end up swiping my card anywhere from 5-30 times a day.It holds my CAC securely and I've never once been concerned about it falling out. I can quickly pull my card out, swipe, and replace it in the holder while walking through the door before any person with me can even manage to pull their card out of their pants pocket or ID holder.I have someone ask me almost once a week if I like it and then where I bought it from once I tell them how well it's been working for me. Quite a few other people are now using them and I haven't heard a complaint from anyone yet.

This is a very durable, high quality lanyard and ID holder. It's the perfect length too. It hangs my ID card over my stomach, so it doesn't flop around like some of the much longer lanyards. To my surprise, quite a few people take notice of this product when I wear it and they ask where to buy it. I know this will last for many years to come and I'm very satisfied with the quality, functionality and the looks of this lanyard/ID holder combo. It seems slightly pricey for what it is, but it will most likely be the last one you have to buy. So looking at it from that perspective, it's well-worth paying a little more for quality upfront so you don't have to burden yourself with shopping for another one down the road. You won't be disappointed with this one!

Works well, and nearly exactly as I need it to. The only beef I have is with the safety "clasp" that's designed to give way instead of choking you if it were to get caught on something. there's so little cord that I can barely get mine on and off, and frequently that safety clasp releases before I can do so. Otherwise, nearly perfect.

This is easily the best lanyard I have ever owned period. The lanyard itself is durable and made of a heavy (I'm assuming it's either nylon or polyester) material that does not fray easily. It also separates in half very nicely and without an annoying clasp that other lanyards I've used had. I have to carry around two cards at work, so the card holder is perfect. My cards always stay secure and slide out with ease, it never fails. Keeps me from losing my job daily. Would and will probably purchase again when needed.

If you have to routinely show your ID card or remove it from the carrier, this type of ID card holder is hard to beat. I have used this style for just over two years, which included two deployments to Afghanistan. If you use the lanyard that is provided, the ID card holder holds up well. However, if you use something like an Oakley lanyard with the bigger "hook", it will eventually break or wear through the "loop/fastener" on the holder. Since I prefer the big strap lanyards like Oakley, I just plan on replacing the holder after every deployment. The one I use at the office with the supplied lanyard shows no sign of wear. No one whom I have given this style of ID card holder has ever lost a card or the holder.

I ordered this lanyard because I wanted the exact item pictured on Amazon. What I received is much different and I returned.

I get lots of questions as to where others can buy this. I carry two holders on one lanyard as I have different credentials for different facilities. On the back side of one of them I slide a few of my business cards in so I always have one. Works great and well worth the price.

I bought this item because PICTURED it shows that this card holder has a clear cover. This IS NOT THE CASE. This is a flat black card holder that you can slide a card on each side but there is NO COVER. It is flat, black and looks generic and cheap. Not at all worth the money.
