Uwe Rosenberg has done it again... Great game!
So this game main focus is on the resource management and cave building aspect of caverna. You have you own little board in front of you which is your cave and there are 9 randomly drawn tiles in front of you which are face down. As you play you pick actions to take, these actions can be as simple as gaining wood, stone, flax, or emmer (a type of grain) to being able to excavate and essentially pull out room tiles that you can later spend your gained resources to purchase. These tiles have actions that will do something for you (gain resources and so on) in short it's a worker placement game without workers. The scoring system is very simple, the rooms you choose to install into your cave will have a point value this point value plus the accumulated gold you built thruout the game is your victory point total, whoever has the most points at the end of the game wins. This is a wonderful 2 player game. My wife and I loved it. It is so simple and there are many ways to build up your cave board to fit your play style. My wife beat me the last time we played. She's really good at resource management. My wife is very picky about game but she absolutely loved the depth and simplicity of this game, her only complaint was the artwork. She said it makes the game seem boring. Personally I like the art style.Anyways I could go on but this review is long enough. I very much enjoyed this game and it will hit the table many times. There is a randomize going factor for the actions and how they're set up from the beginning of the game that gives the game a good replay value and each game will require a different strategy every time.In few words, great game if you want a simple, euro style 2 player game.

Fun date night
This is a super fun two-player game. My husband and I were looking for some games to entertain us during the pandemic. What I really like about this game is there there are multiple ways to earn points so there is no clear winner or loser until the end. I hate games where someone pulls ahead early on and the rest of the game is just as slow death. This is not that game. So many different ways to strategize, I love it!The directions can be a little complicated though so I recommend you find a video tutorial to walk you through how to play. That made all the difference to us.

Good game, arrived with damaged box
The game is great quality. I was just surprised the supplier but it in a padded envelope rather than a box. It came partially smushed. Doesn’t damage the game playing ability it’s just dissapointing for display and trading reasons.

Great game with a learning curve
Great game with a bit of a learning curve to it.We love playing this but it took us a few times of playing and reading to really get the game play down.We will have our review on our YouTube channel “Let’s Play Games” with Jake and Chia shortly.

Nice adaptation of Caverna
A fun adaptation of Caverna for two players. The game is easy to set up, and fairly easy to learn. There is a lot of information packed on the tiles, so it takes a little effort at first, to learn the mechanics of gameplay. Overall a fun game.

Was looking for a great two player experience
Was looking for a great two player experience, and this game delivered. I would suggest watching a gameplay video before hand, but the gameplay was very great. I wish the full game wasn't so expensive!

A lightweight version of Caverna. Took this on a cruise and it gave us a nice light game playable in under an hour (on a table deckside I may add). Doesn't take the place of the full version of the game for me, but did enjoy playing--will definitely be in my vacation "travel game set".

A very fun supplement to "All creatures big and small
A very fun supplement to "All creatures big and small." Of the three Uwe Rosenberg 2 player games that descended from his big box games I would say this is 2 of 3; All creatures big and small being #1. However, they are all good and non of them will be leaving my collection anytime soon.

Very fun game!!
Such a fun game. It is a a great two player game. My husband and I already own the big Caverna and the two player Agricola we love them all. This game is quick and a little different every time you play which keeps it interesting.

Different each play!
Only played this a few times but it’s very good. Lots of options in each round and different each time it’s played. Instructions are clear and concise and easy to use as a reference while getting to know the game. We always watch a game walk through on YouTube as well as reading the instructions and find this very beneficial. Requires an element of planning and hoping that your opponent isn’t trying to get the same cave tiles. The food conversion element of this game is useful and we’ve found it to be essential while learning to play the first few games. My only criticism is that you just feel you are getting on top of the game and then it’s over!

Arrived fast. Game is nice, agricola style but scaled for 2 players. A bit of strategy and plenty of replayability.
