You may have Dark spots in the night vision that you need to put alittle light on
Day vision works very well with a very clear picture you have dark spots in the Night Vision that you may need to add a little light on to help out.

Lorex NR9163 4K Security System
The NR9163 4K System.Easy install and set-up. I am an engineer, but I will tell you the software can be difficult to understand it set up.Some of the Lorex FLIR camera views freeze.It’s loaded with features. Each camera has a 18x22 grid that you can set the (a) sensitivity and the (b) threshold into 4 separate zones to reduce false event triggering. The Rapid Recap creates a video summary of all the motion events that your camera has detected for a quick review.Customers service is awful!Their customer service is in Bogotá Columbia. I purchased the cloud back up package. They gave me no instructions on how to connect to the cloud. So I called customer service, again which is in Bogotá Columbia, they were able to connect all but one of my cameras. They told me they had to escalate the service, and that someone would call me back within a couple days. That never happend. So I called back, to see one I could get my camera connected to the cloud, and they told me they cannot help me because the service has already been escalated. I called back several times over the next month, and they were tell me the same thing it’s been escalated. I asked them to cancel that call and generate another one. They would not do that. Each time I asked to speak to a supervisor, and each time I got a supervisor they told me the same thing, it’s been escalated. I asked them why can’t the supervisor help me with this simple problem, again they said it’s been escalated. I demanded that they canceled a call service order but they would. They left me hanging for months. As long as Lorex is doing business with Bogotá Columbia, do not deal with them! Their customer service was arrogant, and neglectful. No matter how passionate I was about getting my camera connected to the cloud they showed no concern, and kept getting an attitude with me. I talked to several supervisors, thinking that they could help me, they never attempted to help me or show any concern. The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life! I wasted hours and hours on the phone with them, and got nowhere. The wait time for them to answer your call is a minimum of 30 to 45 minutes. Trust me, do not buy from them or you will be in for major major headaches!

Feel more secure.
Picture quality is much better than previous system. Like the cooling fan feature. Pulling cable through the house is the hardest part. Using the app to see cameras away from home is great!

Very happy with the system.
Better than expected. Video quality is great. Able to access cameras on my phone no problem. Motion detection is very sensitive. Other than that love the product.

Unreliable recording. Time slips and drops frames
After being on the phone with an overseas customer service / tech support team everyday for over a week we finally was told by a manager that the issue we were having was a "known" issue and it's to be expected. We recorded 32 cameras. All settings were the same (30fps, 1080p). Upon review of the video after the event we realized that the video playback would randomly speed up and then return to normal playback speed. The timestamp would show a speed up. This was caused by the recorder not being able to fully record 30 frames per second as the manual and advertisements state. We relied on this system and it failed us. Lorex is not owned by FLIR anymore. We see now why FLIR sold them. This unreliability is unacceptable. How can my video now be used in any sort of legal investigation? There are missing frames from my video which means that the video from one camera will not match the video from all the other cameras. How can anyone accept this sort of inconsistency? Tech support refused to help us figure out why their system was doing this. They will tell you to sign in to their cloud service so they can look at the system. When we refused to do that they told us they could not properly assess the problem. After a few days of hearing the same thing they finally let us talk to a manager and the manager admitted that it was a known issue, and they can't fix the video we just recorded. It was recorded corruptly. We will never buy another Lorex product. We will be returning our system. It is worthless if want this video to hold up in court or give over to the police to investigate some sort of crime.

horrble system
I bought,after hook up the system, picture quality is horrible,night vision is horrible. DO NOT BUY LOREX,OR GW SYSTEM. HORRIBLE.
