Great cage for rats
I am a fancy rat enthusiast who tried a ferret cage that led to my miniature female rats escaping and having litters. This cage was the perfect solution because of the half inch bars and metal design. It was fairly hard to assemble however but I used a needle nose vice grip to bend the attaching bars which worked well. It is very well made and even my young miniature rats are not able to escape. In addition, they love this cage and look very content. I love the small doors that make it easy to reach my little rats as well. I have put old towels and blankets on each ledge so that the wires don't hurt their feet and have wire tied all of the ledges and ramps to improve stability inside the cage. The ramps have large openings which led to one of my miniature rats getting her foot caught so I taped cardboard to each ramp. However my regular size male fancy rats have no problem with the openings in the ramps. The cage is so roomy and I have ten miniature rats in one cage and they have plenty of room. I purchased an additional cage for my six large male rats and it also fits them well. They LOVE this cage and it wheels around making it so easy to move. I wire tied some of the little doors that I wouldn't use and use bungee cords to keep the sliding doors closed. I am very pleased with this cage and it also comes with perches if it was going to be used as a bird cage. I used a few of these perches to tie blankets to and make a hammock for my rats.

Worst assembly project in my entire life.
I have my own tool box, and in my lifetime, I have assembled tricycles, wagons, numerous pieces of children's toys/furniture, 17 pieces of IKEA furniture, a glider w/ottoman, a day bed, and just yesterday assembled a Go Pet Club 62" Cat Tree Condo without having any issues whatsoever. This cage has been the most difficult challenge I've ever faced. Unless you have a very strong grip, it is definitely a TWO-PERSON job, especially if you have arthritis or fibromyalgia - one person to hold the two flexible pieces together while the other person (with strong grip) uses the "pinchers" to close the wires. By "pinchers," I think they mean "needle-nose pliers" because regular pliers do not fit easily between the bars. As I live alone and do have fibromyalgia, I had great difficulty in trying to squeeze the wires closed. The pressure from squeezing the wire closed with pliers scratched the epoxy finish off the wires. In addition, there isn't an easy access through the bars to bring closure on the wires inside. There needs to be an easier assembly method such as cable clamps or cable zip ties. I ended up using the zip ties after reading a review. I want to thank the person who used zip ties...I went and bought some and the rest of the assembly went smoothly. Great suggestion! The cage is complete, and I find the sliding feeding doors are whimpy, and the unit is not very sturdy...a child or cat could easily pull this over.

For the price, nice rat cage
I needed a larger cage for my 4 rats to have more space. This was a great option for a low price and it's huge! I love the size and it was pretty easy to put together. I used metal zip ties to secure the corners of the cage frame together because I couldn't bend the hooks closed, but it works. It's a tiny bit wobbly, but it's sturdy enough for small animals like rats. I wouldn't put a guinea pig or a chinchilla or anything larger than a rat in it because it might be shakey when they move on the upper levels. I dont love that the bottom grate is not removable and the tray underneath is very cheap and warped. The tray barely fit into the slot, but I have blankets lining the bottom grate anyway, so the tray is not necessary for me, luckily. If your hoping to use that tray as the cage floor, it will not work at all. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. The rats love it. I still need to get more things to put in it for them and some fall nets just in case because the cage is so tall. You could definitely put young rats in it because the bars are close together with no gaps. You might need to put clips on the bottoms of the doors for extra security if your rats are strong enough to push through since rhe doors do lock, but you can pull the bottom of each door to make a small opening and your pet might even get suck trying to escape. The wheels roll smoothly and the whole cage can be rolled from room to room while fully set up with pets inside, even over carpet. Just roll it slowly when you move it. Anyway, as long as you're aware or the slight down sides and prepare the cage, it's very much a good choice if you can't afford the expensive cages. I would recommend.

It came bended
I was gonna return it because it had several pieces bended, but I realized I was gonna have to pay for the return not less than $40, so I decided to keep it and try to fix it. It definitely doesn’t worth the money, I paid more than a 100 with shipping, even though it’s a big cage. It works for my rat though, he was showing signs of needing more space and soon we’ll get him a girlfriend. He loves the space and it has 3 doors which is very convenient.

It’s a great product for the price. Better to get this than a cage to small for your birds.
Ok I love this cage. It is a little hard to put together but it’s worth it. The price is amazing if you just use zip ties for the cage it works fine. My 4 parakeets love it. It’s a nice big cage for an amazing price oh and parakeets love the ladders

Worked to Refund this
The cage was delivered with some defects and the company worked with me to make sure I was refunded properly. If you see my original review, disregard it.

Flimsy and poorly made, completely over-priced, in a word, JUNK.
The wire that the cage is constructed from has bad spots where the wire is very, very thin, it can be broken with your fingers, so a rodent will chew thru it easily. The hooks that are meant to hold the pieces together are inadequate, they are much too loose and this allows the panels to gap and makes them unstable and not well aligned. It is advertised as being able to be moved around but in reality it tends to want to fall apart when lifted by the handles on the sides. All in all, not worth the 100 dollars that it costs when you add on shipping, this cage is at best worth 20 dollars and that's being generous. Save your money and buy something from a store where you can at least return it with ease if it has issues. It is hard to imagine another cage having this many issues though, all in all, this cage is unreliable, over priced junk.
