Basingstoke in the 1960s (Britain in Old Photographs)

Well, this has certainly brought back some memories! My husband and myself both 'Baby Boomers', were brought up in Basingstoke before moving away in 1980. This was a Basingstoke of a simpler time, before the town changed beyond all recognition. The photo's in this book, have stirred up many memories of the town of our childhood and teenage years!

As someone was born and bred in basingstoke and spent my teenage years there it was interesting to look back at that time with a great deal of pleasure.

In absence of more updated version it is okay.

Found this book very interesting as I worked and lived near Basingstoke in the sixties. Met my future Wife there so brings back happy memories to me.
