Well Built
I have a son that has no control over what he does with his medical condition and when I use what we call NO NO splints when he becomes over stimulated with Music or his toys, He can chew these into pieces accomplishing their intended effect of stopping him from biting his arms. The construction of these are excellent, he wears them at night for biting and other reasons and so far he hasn't chewed these us at all, and I would ALSO add that he likes wearing them. These are used as a took to prevent him from the next level of medical treatment, and I wholeheartedly believe that these are saving him from more evasive treatment. I've a lot of things over the last 20 years and i would call these a winner.

Love This Golve
My dad developed a rash which caused his skin to itch. The problem was that he was pealing his skin off in the process. Thank God for this glove it saved his skin and prevented infections. With patients that have dementia like my dad it prevents them from taking of their diapers during the night. It is off during the day. On his right hand which is paralyzed he tends to curl up his finger making it difficult for blood flow. We use the glove for training purposes so the hand and finger are straight and in a good circulatory position. Great that the top is breathable strong mesh so you see the hand and in is in a relaxed position.

Needs some work
There is definitely room for improvement here. The mitts assume the person wearing them has no flexibility. Anyone with some effort can get their fingers outside of the separators and then flip the mitten around and pinch stuff through the mesh. There needs to be a strap half way down the mit so you can strap the knuckles against the material - which would prevent them from using the excessive space provided by the metal to get their fingers out of the separators that should be longer in my opinion.

Relieves Nervous Picking
My Mom has developed a nervous tick. Since she has the Alzheimer's Disease, this does work to keep her from picking nervously at her face. It is safe and soft enough and not restricting to her hand with the soft netting around the hand. The loop is great if I wanted to restrain her hands further to be attached to the metal guard rail, but at this point in time, it's not needed.Good idea whoever invented this!!

Posey Mitts
My mother, who suffered a stroke and has Alzheimers, first wore Posey Mitts in the hospital. The nurses used them to keep her from pulling out her feeding tube. Since then, her caregiver puts them on her every night before bed and it helps immensely to keep her clean and safe. I accidently purchased these, which were too much trouble because each finger must be aligned like a glove. They are not an inferior product, just not intended for our needs. The ones we prefer are the green Posey Soft Hand Mitts.

while my grandma was with us this helped greatly from her sticking her hands in places they didn't belong as well as helping to keep her from accidentally scratching herself to much. She had Alhiamers and was prone to scratching and clawing her own skin as well as keeping one hand balled up so tightly her nails would pierce the understand of her skin they worked perfectly

These would be 5 stars if the breathable mesh was softer and less abrasive. The mesh is actually hard enough to remove and scratch skin of rubbed against the face. I will be contacting the manufacturer to make them aware of this

So these control mitts were a nice idea but little pockets to hold the fingers don't really restrict the fingers at all and someone with reasonable hand strength can squish the material up enough to use their hands to manipulate objects and render the mitts ineffective.
