This bookcase is reasonably priced, looks good, and is fairly easy to assemble though the instructions are not that clear. The best way to do this by yourself is connect one rod loosely to both uprights at the top- this will keep them from falling over as you assemble the unit. Attach all the other rods on just one side (the same side for all) then push the uprights together making sure the rods fit in their holes on both upright pieces. Then add in and tighten all the bolts. Make sure that the small round hole is facing up on all the rods when you do this as it is important when you bolt on the shelves. Put on the two cross braces. For the shelves, I found it much easier to turn the whole unit upside down and bolt the shelves on that way so I could more easily line up the holes in the shelves with the larger oval hole in the rods. The unit is stable and sturdy and so I did not use the crappy wall retention strap included with the unit. If you really need to worry about small children pulling this over, buy a better, more secure attachment for securing the unit to the wall. Overall it is an excellent way to display knick knacks or books.

I love this product, it quite sturdy and would buy it again. Perfect fit for an empty space. The only issue for me is that I was setting it up by myself so when I put one piece in place eg A and stretch to connect eg B, then A would come out of place so I needed another set of hands to hold in place A while I connect B. Once I had this, the assembly was seemless. Cant beat the price I saw the same item at Raymour Flannigan and their price was far too expensive Just luv, luv, luv this product.

So glad I chose this! We needed something decorative that could house and nicely hide some gear and this was perfect. The open backing, different sized shelves and lovely appearance gave us the pro look we needed with good function.

Everything about the product and transaction was good. The price was reasonable, shipping time was satisfactory, and the pieces were packed well. Assembly was fairly easy -- no narrative instructions, just pictures. All the pieces were accounted for and nicely organized, and every hole lined up perfectly. It's almost impossible to make a mistake, but take it slow and be sure you've got it right before tightening the screws. The finished product is sturdy and attractive. I would recommend this and would buy another if a similar need arose.

I love the way this product looks, but it was a pain to assemble! After an entire hour and a half of assembly, I still could not get one of the screws to align. It still seems to be sturdy, but I was a little frustrated by the assembly nevertheless.

This is quite a nice looking and sturdy shelving unit for our living room.We did receive it with a slightly damaged shelf although a prompt credit has been issued.
