Seems like it would be better for cats or small dogs
It does work for large and thicker furred animals but it requires some patience. I got all 4 of my Bernese mountain dogs paws done in less than 10-15 minutes. His paws were severely overgrown but it did the job pretty good. For $10 I really can’t complain. It runs on triple a batteries and feels kinda low quality but it does what it needs to and if it lasts a couple of months or more I’ll be happy. Depending on your dog is gonna determine the cut quality and speed of trimming. I did have to go over his paws a couple of times to get some of the hair because it wouldn’t cut at first and I didn’t need to run it long enough to see if it got hot or not but it didn’t in the time I had it running. After some getting used to it removed the hair pretty good and worked good enough that I’m happy with it.

Bought to trim our mini aussies paws.
For the price, it does what it says it can do. Besides trimming our furbabies paws, I found it very helpful in trimming around his hiney, where #2's can get caught occasionally. I'm able to trim him how a groomer would & not worry about hurting him. The tiny brush & oil were an added bonus that came with it. I'd like to know what kind of oil it is so I can get more. The tiny bottle would fall over & the oil would leak out even w/ the top on.

Not very powerful
These will do the job if you have a small paw to work with but they aren’t very powerful. This is my first time using them on my yorkie. Her paw hair was long so it was a challenge to cut away hair while she pulled back. When I did clip away, I wished it had a tiny bit more power so I didn’t have to go back again.

No power. Wasn't worth the stress it put on my dog.
Has absolutely no power! My dog has barely any hair between her little toes and it would not cut it. 0 stars

Great for small and large dogs
I bought this to clip my Chihuahuas paw hair before I Dremel his nails. This is the perfect size for his tiny feet and it is not loud nor does it vibrate to hard. So overall this was perfect for us. It also worked good for my larger dogs hair on the paws as well just took a bit more time to cut which wasn't a problem. My bigger dogs actually loved the way this felt they fell asleep when I was cutting the paw hair. Overall this is a decent clipper. With the tiny head size it would be good to use around the face as it's small and easy to glide. It's easy to clean with the included brush but it usually cleans itself when you turn it on. The battery life is decent I was able to use it for a month without charging it and that's using it once a week for 6 dogs(1 small, 5 large).
