Great little device
Love my Ruizu! It's small, lightweight and perfect to slip in your pocket when out walking. There's plenty of storage capacity for my audiobooks and it pairs easily with bluetooth earbuds. Once you get used to a few idiosyncrasies, it's easy to navigate. I recently upgraded the firmware and their customer service was first class when I encountered difficulties downloading the files; they speedily resolved the issue. Recommended for a low-priced, small and simple MP3 player.

nice
The media could not be loaded. I bought this mp3 player back in February of 2024. During that time I had bought the color black with the storage of about 8gb advertised. When I had received it it showed that the storage was at 7940 mb. That might not be an issue to most because the ones being advertised here are now at 16 or 32gb, but I still wanted to point that out. The quality of the mp3 player is fairly nice. it is very small and lightweight. The lightweight portion of it has made me question the durability of the mp3 player, but it has stayed intact throughout this time. I would say that the earbuds that come with it are not good, so if you can, you should try to find some that you may want to use, or buy a set of earbuds while you are getting this product. The device is powered with Type-C , which I find very nice because it is a more common charging cable. There is also a slot for you to put an SD card that supports up to 128 GB. I tried it out and it did its job. The design of the buttons and the frame from the one that I bought was not bad. The graphics are okay, and I did find it cool that I was able to put a Bob's Burgers episode on here and play it (I will try to add a small picture or video). It was pixelated, but I could still see what was happening in that video. I have tried out the Bluetooth and it does work. The bluetooth connectivity is not bad.-- This device also has a switch to be "powered" off so you dont have to worry about battery getting wasted if you are not using it.--I also find it cool that this device has a radio available. I'm mentioning this because when the power went out in my state around May of 2024, I was able to use this to get some information on the news when my phone died, and also to hear some music.--I did want to say one last thing that could be a deal breaker to some of y'all. This device, or at least the version that I bought, will only give you audio if it is connected by bluetooth or with an mp3 player.it does have a recording section that is not affected by the recording portion, but to listen to the audio that you did record, you will need wired earbuds or Bluetooth earbuds/speaker.

Very nice follow on product to an earlier model
Back in 2016 I purchased an earlier model of this MP3 player. That product didn't have as many features but was very reliable, as I used it extensively for about 7 years until the battery finally gave out. I ordered a later generation model in 2022 as a backup, and it also was a decent product though not quite as reliable as the initial one. I purchased this latest one because I inadvertently dropped the second one into a glass of water on my nightstand one night and that ruined it.With that background in mind, I really like this MP3 player, and am very impressed with the extent of functionality it offers. It connects easily to my PC via a USB-A cable, and transferring files is very simple. The only complaint I have, is that the manufacturer made some significant changes to the software interface compared to the previous two generations of this product. While over time I'm sure I'll adjust to the changes, initially it's kind of frustrating since I'm pressing buttons by habit and finding they don't do what they used to. Naturally this doesn't impact any buyer who never owned an earlier model, but as a long-time user I felt inspired to share this information just in case anyone else is buying this product again. With that said, I'm very happy to have purchased this latest generation model and am hoping it's as reliable as the original one was.

Spend your money elsewhere.
Bought this at the end of January and the screen stopped working, but was able to listen to music, now it's completely unusable. I don't find this product to be worth the money.

Does the job, but maximum volume is lacking
It works as intended. But be advised: for $30, they're going to cut corner somewhere. Here, they cut corners because the thing just doesn't get very loud. In a gym setting, which is noisy, it's just not quite loud enough. It's not terrible, it works, but it's just not very loud. This is true whether using wired earphones or Bluetooth earbuds. If that sort of thing matters to you, spend the $150ish range (and up!) for a quality Digital Audio Player (DAP). It's a whole new and different world of audio quality. It's generally for audiophile people, but I do think it's worth it to buy one quality item that plays really nice quality music as loud as I want. This cheap player gets the job done, it's fine, but don't expect brilliant sound out of it. It just doesn't get very loud. That said, to be clear, for $30 it is an excellent value. Honestly amazing what it can do for just $30. $30 buys you 2 sandwiches these days, so be realistic...
