Aloe Gator SPF 40 Lotion

I need to use sun screen otherwise my face lights up like an orange. I need to use it every time I go outside for length of time. This sunscreen does the trick. There is another Aloe Gator SPF 40 Gel which I should use. But they showed a 1 oz. tube and in the description it said 4 oz. And now the Gel is listed with a new price. Confused is the word.

This product was first purchased by my husband over 40 years ago in Florida when he went to a surf shop to buy a water item. We were on vacation with my parents and two very young children.My parents and I laughed ourselves silly when he showed it to us and told him that they must have seen him coming. The container was so small. The next day, he got to the beach before us and put it on himself. Much later that day he came up from the beach and we saw his back. He could not reach all of it on his own and we could actually see his hand print where he had covered. The rest of his back was sunburned where it had no gel!!! We certainly were impressed and told him that he had to go back and buy more. A very little goes a long way. You have to soap up well but I would much rather do that then have us suffer a bad burn.We have used this product all these years and I was thrilled to buy more new products for our family and young grandson.I'm so happy that amazon carries this product. For years we had trouble buying it and would call the manufacturer and pay shipping. Get it now.

I use this on my face for extreme sun exposure because it provides great coverage and does not usually sweat into my eyes. I also put it on the tops of my feet at the beach, because it won't rub off with flip-flops or walking in sand. It really is waterproof for many hours -- I've surfed and fished for hours and done 5-hour triathlons with this and have not had a trace of burning or even freckling. It does leave a white sheen when you first put it on, though that fades within 10-20 minutes if it's warm. It's a bit too thick to apply to hairy skin, so I use a different product (Kinesys) for arms and legs and chest. This and Scape (now out of business) are the two best waterproof sunscreens I've ever used. In a really long, really hot effort, a bit might seat into your eyes, but it holds up better than anything other than the now-defunct Scape.

I played beach volleyball all day using this product for 15 years and never got sunburned/tanned. I heard about it from semi beach pro players. I am very fair and this the only sunscreen on the market that prevents any tanning/burning and doesn't sting your eyes even sweating hard all day. No other product does that even if they claim to. I have paid the price with many stinged eyes kayaking on the ocean (which was brutal) with other non-Aloe Gator products. Highest recommendation possible. I prefer this lotion the Aloe Gator 40 Gel as the gel is very sticky and stays as such for me; I didn't like it and the sand would get stuck to it :(. I would use the gel product if was going to be in the water/ocean all day as it seems it would protect better. But the lotion is preferred for everything else.I do reapply this lotion after about 4-5 hrs just to be on the safe side. You'll never go back to anything else all other products are a waste of money IMHO.

I have told the people that are close to me about this and they are listening. The Lotion is fantastic, as well as the Gel. Well here goes.My brother and I went fishing on a party boat and they are out on the Atlantic for 8 hours. Sun and water is the making for a very bad sunburn, that is unless you have Aloe Gator Lotion. I put it on before we left the house. Did want to carry a lot of things with me as it wasn't our boat so I left the lotion at home. We were out, way OUT from the dock and my brother asked me for the Aloe Gator Lotion. I laughed and said your the Boat Captain why didn't you say something before we left? Well as you can guess, I got tanned and he got burned, bad too. And any of my friends that have used it love it too. Price it right and worth every penny or dollar in this case.

This stuff is great. I use it for high-altitude ski patrol in the winter and all kinds of outdoor activity in the summer. It rubs in well, with just a slight sense of moisture left on the skin. I hate oily sunscreen, and this definitely passes my test. It lasts for hours and you don't have to use a ton of it to get good coverage. The SPF 40 rating seems to be real, as I never burn with it on - even those first days of patrol at the beginning of the season. It also seems to stay put - I've never had it run into my eyes. I've been using it for years and I highly recommend it.

I have hyper- pigmentation but want to still do my sports.This is so far the most user friendly sun block if you need to be in sun a while and want to wear out in public.I use this mostly for cycling and swimming in weaker, early am or late afternoon sun.Can turn white and look a bit unsightly if in water or sweat- not for the vain.( A while in the water makes this wear away)But I still faithfully use and one of the best products for someone with my sun sensitive skin condition.For very strong sun like Mexico Maya Riviera or Midddle East, wear this under the ALOE GATOR 40+ gel.
