Super cool.
Never heard of it before a meme. When a sentimental but decorative cup was broken I was upset. I saw this art style in a meme then I looked for it online. Now this isn't food grade so I'm never going to be able to use that cup again. Food grade kits do exist but they are way more than this. However, it's pretty easy to use. Put on the gloves, mix the two part epoxy with the golden powder and then spread it on with the provided sticks and voila! Held it for 5 minutes to dry and wait a day to fully cure. Brush again with powder for effect and it's done. There's also quite a bit of product so you could fix some fairly large stuff or quite a few medium items and all your crockery if you have small stuff.

Stops marital fights!
This kit is awesome. Just follow the instructions and take your time setting up—it’s super easy to use. I broke a pot (see pic) and fixed it beautifully with this. At dinner, I told my wife she was about to learn what Kintsugi is, and that I broke a pot… She rolled her eyes, ready to kill me, but once she saw the result, she smiled. Peace restored. Now I'm wondering... what else can I "accidentally" break? 😄

Did you also find this from TikTok? Cuz I did
At first, I was really excited to do this project and because of my excitement I failed to read the instructions. Whenever you put the mixture into a little paper bowl, you’re supposed to put the glitter in before you start putting it onto your ceramic edges. I didn’t read that part, and I stuck the ceramic pieces together with just the resin and no glitter. I tried to go back and add the glitter, but it was not sticking so I took apart the pieces again and mixed new resin with glitter to put the pieces together. I put too much in this process and it did get very globby and gloopy and so there is a lot of bumping and dripping that happened because of that. This kit also comes with a pair of gloves and a mask, both of which I was too excited to look at or use or even think about. This mixture is extremely difficult to wash off your skin, and it smells very strong like chemicals so I would recommend using those protective products. As you can see in the photos above the end result is not exactly the same as the traditional Japanese. Process that uses gold because this is resin and glitter. I think it’s affordable and easy if you want to do something simple but I’m not sure I would use it on some thing I want to drink out of or eat out of. It was good enough for fixing the ceramic bowl I made in high school, but it isn’t fancy like I imagined

Need to have talent
The steps of getting the glue on, wiping off excess, then putting on the gold ended up being way too sloppy looking. Maybe I’m just not talented enough to do it. The glue worked but it’s fast so not a lot of room for error.

Disappointing
The primary fail here is the epoxy material. It cures much too quickly and to the entirely wrong consistency. It's more of a rubbery caulk than a securely bonding material. It makes for a clumsy, messy, difficult to control repair. You will not be sanding this smooth or wiping off a little excess adhesive ooze. You will not be applying any sealers or clear-coat to the project. Also, apart from the pigment powder, the other box contents are not particularly useful. You get a pair of gloves. In this time of plague, who doesn't have a few dozen nitrile gloves around? A couple of very oddly shaped porous cardboard mixing trays, a few coffee stirrers. If you like to do things the hard way:This will work IF one skillfully and swiftly mixes very small amounts of adhesive and pigment and expertly places one shard at a time, without interfering with space for the next shard. Repeat. At that skill and practice level, you don't need a kit. You've probably already got better suited adhesive, just have to hit a good art supply store for the pigment.I have a lot of projects going on, so I took a short-cut. I didn't want to figure out what materials would work best for this application and I hoped the kit would help. It didn't.I looked at the sloppy pics, and figured there were just a lot of clumsy folks out there. Well, there are, but this stuff is exceptionally awkward to work with.

Doesn't really look gold when you are done
The color is too orange to really look like the other gold on the cups I repaired. And once the powder is mixed with the epoxy, it doesn't really look metallic. It doesn't really shine or shimmer like real kintsugi would.
