I have had a Frister Rossman Cub 4 sewing machine for 52 years and it has been an amazing machine, so small but could tackle any sewing job with ease even sewing leather very easily. When it started to go wrong a lot I bought another Frister Rossman as I had so much faith in them, WHAT A HEAP OF RUBBISH!!! I bought it from a shop and was told it was the best they did but it's dreadful, it can't tackle anything heavier than lightweight fabric. As you will imagine this made me very nervous of buying another machine so I did tons of research and decided that a Janome seemed the best for the money for me. I hadn't seen this machine anywhere but a really kind man at a Yorkshire company listened to what I was looking for and told me this machine was as well built as my old one but with all the modern finishes such as the cut off thread button and no foot pedal if you didn't want to use it etc. I've refrained from putting a review until I had had the chance to really try it properly on all sorts of fabrics and I can honestly say it is a wonder to use. It is quiet does anything and everything I want it to do with ease and the new threading system is so easy to use. Cap that with the facility to add the magnifying glass for my tired eyes and I'm one very happy bunny, this machine is a sewers dream.

Absolutely amazing machine. I've never had Janome machine before or a computerised machine. But this is so easy to use. Buttonholes are neat and professional. I am impressed and very very happy I paid a little more to get the computerised version.

I'm a beginner and couldn't believe how easy it is to operate this machine. Such a pleasure to sew ..the option to adjust the speed is number one to begginers. Auto thread and cut is brilliant.. Loving it

Easy to use , handy auto thread and auto snip threads function. Ideal for dressmaking , quilting etc Good upgrade from my previous Janome machine
