They go right on the jars and I successfully grow alfalfa Sprouts. Easy to clean and store.

The company included a “support”contact, can’t get through. The screen on the lids is plugging and my seeds will not drain and are becom8ng slimy. There was no indication that certain things should not be sprouted. I’m using arugula and I wanted their advice. I will most likely return these kids.

These work well for growing sprouts your own. They fit perfectly on the Dollar Tree jars too.

I am trying to remove plastic from my house and was happy to see metal sprouting lids. People did mention these rusting, but I was pretty sure it was because they weren't keeping them dry enough or putting them in the dishwasher. Well....even if you dry them after rinsing your sprouts and hand wash and dry them, they rust. Its not horrible and initially I used some white oil to remove the little dots of rust as they began to form around the edges, but now I have just accepted that these sprouting lids have rust and I will need to replace them at some point. I really donʻt want to use plastic and would like to find a truly rust resistant sprouting lid. These are the perfect size and thickness for sprouting and the company does advertise as "rust resistant" which is true.
