Purpose of buying for me: small to place on a bedside table, low height, sturdy touch lamp, ease of turning on/off a light by touch; less about aesthetics and more about functionality as it does not match my decor in room; I'm ok with that. A touch featured lamp was the main purpose.What I like: Not big, not easily tippable when fumbling to find in the dark, touch component has worked perfectly so far to tap light on/off, The base is only slightly wider than the body of lamp so again not easily tippable (tipping over). The wider but not too wide base-to-body gives it a more "stable" grounding to table which is a plus for a "touch" use lampHow long have I had lamp: Using for about a month nightly continues to work as expectedAesthetics: For a modern style home great or if wanting a subtle lamp on a small or busy table perfect; think minimalism kind of lookAs expected: Yes; 3 levels of light and only wanted to use for quickly turning a light on/off at bedside; tap lightly to turn on and continued tapping for softer to higher level of light. Hold finger down on top of light to turn off or continue tapping past the levels to on/off. Straightforward & uncomplicated set up.Built in USB function: Have only used for charging phone - has worked with no problemsPrice: A bit high in comparison to other options on market but no other product found that is exactly or close to this style so not an apples to apples. Hoping it is a well made product that will last making the cost less of a disappointmentNegatives: Wish the wooded look had a "darker" wood finish option at base of lamp; light wood is nice but darker would have been a nicer look and would go with a style of home that might be more on the traditional side (think cherry wood or dark wood tabletop nightstands - the white really stands out on my darker cherry wood side table); price seemed highOther options for use could be a light behind a plant; hidden or subtle decorative light to brighten up a dark area. Doesn't just have to be a bedside light option since it's easily portable and small.

So, I was hesitant to buy this lamp at all because of the price. It was more than I wanted to spend, and I was concerned about what I was getting for my money. It looked small.When I initially opened the box, I thought all of my worst fears were confirmed, and I was going to be returning it. I was incredibly disappointed by the size and was immediately worried that it wasn't going to put out enough light for my needs. I was ready to pack it back up, but I ultimately decided to at least plug it in and try it.It is not the brightest lamp in the world. I love the various settings, but even on the highest setting, it is more like a bright nightlight than a lamp. However, I've really come to appreciate that about it in a way I didn't think I would. The light color is fantastic, and it's very soothing.But what I've found more useful than anything are the USB-C ports. They were one of the reasons I purchased this lamp, but I DID NOT realize how much I was going to love those. They are phenomal, and I am so happy with the convenience they've provided.The lamp itself is very well made and super responsive to touch, another feature I like about it. I didn't think I'd like the tap function as much as I do, but it's a much more convenient solution for where I have the lamp than traditional mechanisms.I've been using it for about three months now, and I'm so glad I decided to keep it.

This little bedside lamp is absolutely wonderful, I LOVE IT!!!! You tap it to turn it on; has 3 levels of brightness and it also has USB ports to easily charge your devices by you bed. To turn it off, you just barely tap the top and its off. No fumbling with a switch! This is SO cool, every time I use it I just smile and think to myself "this is the best thing I have bought. Everybody should have one!" You will not be disappointed!! It lights up the room great (and we have a large room), perfect for turning on before it is completely dark so when you go to bed, you can easily see to get PJ's and get in bed. HIGHLY recommend to everyone for any use. I am going to order more to give as gifts :)

This lamp is good for blackouts and you can charge four different devices, so if you forget to pay your electric bill you won’t have to sit in the dark while streaming on your phone. Works in a blackout too.

Great beside lamp. I have it on most of the time, as I keep my bedroom dark! I love that is has three settings! The best!

I bought two of these. Our bed headboard has a middle opening that had a mounted light that we never liked, and it was hard to turn off/on. We removed that mounting and light and replaced it with one of these Macally lights. We love the tap on/off feature and the three levels of brightness. It has a nice small footprint, and we like that it has just the soft white light instead of the units with the 256 colors. We were not interested in that. The USB ports are a nice feature, and I have charged my phone a few times with it, but it's not necessary. We like using the light to provide some ambient light at night until we are ready for "lights out" to go to sleep. It's perfect and so much easier to use than what we used to have. We personally cannot read with it (in a pinch we probably could, but it's not bright enough for us). I have the second one on the bedside table in our guest room. Very happy with our purchase.

Love the 3 light intensities that can be turned off just by a brief holding touch. Small so doesn't take up much room and it charges my phone and Kindle overnite. I have 4 of them and they are great. Dim enough low light to see your way to the bathroom at night without waking your partner. Easy on and off with just a light touch. I do wish they had a longer cord on them as the plug is halfway across the king bed and near the floor. I needed an extension cord.
